What have you got your 4.5 year old?

Dd2 is 4.5 and has an older Soster so there isn't much she's actually asked for. I've replaced a few things that are looking ropey (toy food and some new craft stuff).

But what have your 4/5 year olds asked for? I'm struggling for stocking fillers mainly, her main present is done.

DS is nearly 4.5. His main present is a big Lego kit. Other things include glow in the dark stars for his bedroom, some new books, a couple of games, some magnets with numbers on so he can do maths on the fridge (🤷🏻‍♀️), a jigsaw. He's not hugely into 'toys' per se other than Lego so most of his presents are science/letters/maths based.

I might have a look at puzzles! Thanks. We already have books coming out of our ears but I might see if there are any that she might like.

We've also bought a bookcase for him for that very reason 😂

@mynameiscalypso not a bad idea 😂

In her stocking my 5 year old dd will have some books, a squishmallow, a Barbie, Barbie pet, a polly pocket set, a magic flannel, chocolates, a small craft kit and character knickers, socks and vests (don't think I've forgotten anything!). Her main gift is a Barbie house so the Barbie and pet will go with that.

Main present is a farm. I've bought bits separately so there's a farmhouse, animals plus a couple of add ons like feeding and washing stations. Second big present from grandparents is the v-tech camera.

My dd is really into board games at the moment so I've got her My First Carcassonne, the Cat and Mouse game, plus a barbie and a few craft bits, and an Elsa dress. I think that's us done.

Sprogonthetyne · 10/12/2023 10:50

In the actual stocking DD's getting a kelidascope, harmonica, pack of stickers, sparkly hair slides & a unicorn watch (she can't tell time, but often steels her brother watch).

Present wise she's getting a silvan family's mermaid house thing as her main gift. Then lego/gabby dolls house merkitty boat, air clay, magnetic tiles, watercolour paint set & polypocket.

Dd has only asked for a spidey phone (like the toy phone that plays noises).

She saw a Bluey wooden bbq in sainsbury too that she wanted so DH went back and got that. But she's not mentioned anything else! So they are her main presents, I got her the Mellissa and Doug sandwich shop because they have the pizza one and it's been played with non stop.

I will have a look at some of the suggestions up thread though! Thank you!

DD has just turned 5 and one of the presents she's most excited about is a Barbie with a mermaid tail that goes in the bath and changes colour!

In her stocking she's going to get some chocs, some Christmas temporary tattoos, sticker sheets, bath bombs, pretty gloves, slipper socks, a cuddly toy, hair clips, pencils with unicorns, a small game (Top Trumps) and some hot chocolate sachets.

We got her hair chalk for her birthday that she loved and that could go in a stocking easily.

Bigger presents for her birthday have been dominated by board games and science kits. She also got a squishmallow, paint your own unicorn/pony, a kids guitar and sticker books.

5yo DD's stocking looks like this...
Bath disco light
Melting snowman putty
Unicorn lip balm
Whoopee cushion
Happy Families card game
Spinning top
Sparkly whipped soap
Soft toy reindeer
I-Spy Christmas book
Personalised Nutella
Chocolate milkshake straws
Chocolate
Sweets

My 4.5 yr old ds loves kinetic sand so I got him a set of that, quite a bit of Lego from us and grandparents, two orchard toys games as he loves games and a Bluey sticker activity book. But he is a third child so needs absolutely nothing and it is tricky. Even though we have so many books he really loves them so we’ll get some books too.

My 4 year old ( also has an older sister) is nearly 5 but in her stocking she has

Bluey bubble bath
A felt elephant for her room from etsy
New elephant soft toy for her collection
Bedsocks
A mini mug for hot chocolate
Yoto card
Selection of quirky sweets like a sherbet filled baby bottle and pizza gummy

Other smaller gifts she is getting

Small lego set
Books
Some crafty bits like mini highlighters, scented pens, small colouring book etc
Headphones
Moon Rocks digging kit
Small playdough kitchens set

discopoodle · 10/12/2023 19:56

Our 4 yo DD is getting a marble run, Lego sets, a weather board cos she's obsessed with checking the weather, a box of dressing up costumes, some books and a couple of paw patrol cars

discopoodle · 10/12/2023 19:58

Stocking fillers are yoto cards, selection box, cosy socks, a Christmas orchard game, a Barbie, a bluey puppet and some dressing up accessories

AuntMarch · 10/12/2023 20:44

My 4.5 boy has suddenly got more into games- I've got "sink and sand" and "rhino hero" (not 100% on the names tbh!) after having them recommended, and a top trumps set for his stocking.

Also for his stocking so far: batman socks, avengers pants, milkshake straws, chocolate coins, sweets.

I will be following for more ideas though!

Thank you! Some brilliant ideas! Off to do some online shopping!
