Real hippopotamus?

ive just asked my 6 year old DD to write her list to Santa. Top of the list …. A real hippopotamus! Anyone know where I can get one 🤞

Yes, Only a hippopotamus will do I’m told! Must remember to thank the school for that. I actually never thought of sponsoring a hippo so thank you. Hungry hippos was about all I could come up with

Marwell Zoo has two Pygmy hippos they are so cute! I’m a life long hippo fan too 🦛

🤣 when I worked in a school, our class did that one year for the Christmas concert. It’s one of my favourite memories of working in schools and I think of it every year, I bet it was at least 8 years ago!

I asked for a giraffe when I was little.

My Mum said that a giraffe wouldn't fit in our house. Dad helpfully said that we could cut a hole in the ceiling.
Mum wasn't impressed.

If you can get a hippo for your daughter (that's not going to eat her as they're vegetarian 😉) it might be less carnage than a rhinoceros

Skinny pigs/ hairless guinea pigs are also knicknamed pocket hippos. I wouldn't suggest getting them for Christmas but guinea puffs do make wonderful pets and a skinny and hairless pair of girls would do great inside .
