Remote control car for at the beach

My 10 year is hoping to get a remote control car that he can use at the beach. We saw a family with one recently and stupidly didn’t ask what it was or where to get it.

I guess we’re looking for one with good battery duration, good range, being able to withstand sand and being bashed about.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of one? I was hoping for one under £50 but have no clue if this is realistic or not.

Not a car but I just bought the remote control monster jam truck 'grave digger' off amazon, got it on black friday and it goes over sand, snow, water etc.

My son has a traxxas rc car. Its very fast though. He looks after it very well - cleans after the Beach etc and his dad has as much use out of it as he does. You can get back up batteries, etc.

He also has a less intense Turbo Challenge rc car.

He is 13 though so don't know if that makes a difference.

We've bought my son the Monster Jam Megaladon as that does all surfaces and water.. he specifically asked for one to use on the beach too, but he's only 6 so might be too young for your son.
