Sorry: free christmas picture book thread

There was a post yesterday about my personal story publishing a new children's picture book and asking if anyone would be willing to review the book in exchange for an e-copy.

The response was so overwhelmingly positive and supportive. However, MNHQ decided it violated their guidelines and has removed the thread - and that account.

I understand this was against guidelines and I probably should have gone through MN to get reviews. I'm a newbie and was pretty naive.

I feel terrible because I cannot respond to those people and I hope they don't feel I've ignored them.

I have asked MNHQ for it to be reinstated, but right now I can't actually see who messaged me to respond.

I remembered a few names I'll pop here - just to thank you for your support and positivity and to say sorry if you felt it was spammy. I was trying to share a vulnerable story and ask for help, certainly wasn't my intention to sell anything.

Hope this thread isn't removed!

Thanks everyone x

I’d be happy to review it.

I'd probably have waited for MNHQ to come back to you first before starting another thread as you run the risk of this one being removed too unfortunately

Thanks so much @SimoneW - definitely going to go through proper MNHQ channels and work with them on getting reviews as opposed to doing it any other way at this point.

@PickleSmith they came back to me already about the thread, but not the account. Like I say, just trying to explain to those who were overwhelmingly supportive so that they didn't feel let down. I'll take is as a lesson and go through proper channels. Thank you 🙏
