Presents for 6 and 9 year old girls

I would love some suggestions for what to buy for a 6 and 9 year old girls, can be two presents or a joint one. It's for the daughters of a new friend and I have no idea what they like, thanks

Squishmallows, rainbow high dolls and anything stitch is on my 8 year olds Xmas list!

My 8 year old likes squishmallows, crafts, slime, scratch art.

Lego, jigsaws or playmobil would go down well here. Not to share though!

Kids seem to love anything ‘surprise’ these days. Like a colour reveal/animal reveal barbie, lol surprise balls etc.

If they are into Harry Potter/magic there are some lovely potion sets from the potion lab that I saw recommended on here and am pleased with!

Squishmallows, Lego, craft supplies & art supplies, book vouchers, loom bands, board games.
I'd avoid things like LOL Dolls, Rainbow High etc unless you know they're into them. My DD (9) isn't.

It depends on their tastes.

Mine would hate most of these suggestions would prefer Lego, Marvel stuff, sports gear.

Could you not ask your friend what her daughters are into to get a steer?

Medium sized £13. Other suggestions: board games, cinema gift card and stationary sets.
