Our family Christmas lists are due in tomorrow. Tween dd has already gave us her list, dh has nearly completed his. I haven't started on mine. Anyone have any ideas what I could put on it?

I am female mid 40s. Open to all suggestions Grin

I've got fancy shampoo on mine. Will be used and appreciated and not mean clutter

RainDropsStorm · 30/11/2023 23:48

That's a great idea. I like how it's practical will look at hair products.

Better quality versions of things you use every day:

L'Occitane/Neom/REN/Neal's Yard/Molton Brown/Origins/Liz Earle bath oils and shower gels, body lotions and hand cream

Cashmere gloves, socks, sweater, scarf, hat

Pretty mugs and a milk frother or cafetiere for good coffee

Beautiful jugs or vases or lamps

Flowering plants

A pile of novels by your favourite authors

Something cosy like an oodie or sheepskin slippers or a heated blanket

or something stylish like a silk kimono (you can get great artifial silk if you are vegan)

Some jewellery - a new ring, earrings, pendant, bracelet or cuff

Sports gear - yoga mat, weights and kettlebells,, sports towel, leggings and tops

Hobby gear - from crafting to camping - stuff to help you do more of what you love doing

Some fantastic ideas there. So much appreciated Grin

Depending on budget. fancy sunglasses? people tend not to think of these in winter.

Totaloverhaul, I love your list.

A blood pressure monitor
a window vac
seat back organiser for the car
Turtle doves cashmere stuff

Stresa22 · 01/12/2023 00:12

One Hundred Stars have gorgeous kimonos that work well during summer holidays to warmer climates. I wear mine in the evening over a skirt or sundress.

RainDropsStorm · 01/12/2023 00:31

@Stresa22 thank you, you have just minded me that I would like a silk dressing gown.

@mdinbc I would look at them impatiently waiting for the summer sun 😢

@FairisleFairy the blood pressure monitor made me 🤣 I would be scared of the reading.

A nice set of steak knives is on mine 😂

DelphiniumBlue · 01/12/2023 01:07

I've asked for a Woolovers merino dressing gown that looks really cosy and has non-dangly sleeves. Also nice socks- I'd like soft bed socks, Norwegian wool ones to wear with boots, and Bam roll top ones for every day.
I also fancy some silver earrings, maybe some new trainers, and a Clinique chubby lip crayon.
Also Ithaca by Claire North, and another Pat Barker book. Nice body cream or hand cream, and depending who is buying and the budget, some Jo Malone smellies, the bath oil is a real treat!
I used to send teens to TK Maxx to find nice smelling things on a tight budget.

RainDropsStorm · 01/12/2023 01:07

It's only me and the dog that eat steak 🤣 a set would be wasted on us. Hope you enjoy your new set.

Just thought of one. A electric blanket would be great.

I've asked for a new knife block incl knives. Given they know I've recently started watching Dexter it raised a couple of eyebrows Halloween Grin

Ikeatears · 01/12/2023 05:01

I've asked for:
Lego
A Polaroid camera
Weighted blanket
Website subscription for hobby
Tea cups (nice set of 4)
Nail powders

I don't expect all of that but gave dh options.

Snowdogsscarf · 01/12/2023 07:22

I am hoping for the following:
Nice pair of pyjamas (been looking at Chelsea Peers and Their Nibs)
Perfume (because I currently don't own any)
Set of extra special champagne glasses
Cami top (probably just m&s)
Weights set
Needle felting beginners set

RainDropsStorm · 01/12/2023 10:36

@DelphiniumBlue that sounds a good list. Love cosy socks/dressing gowns. Nice bath oil is a good idea for me.

@Keepitweird I got professional knifes a few years ago. I didn't feel grown up enough to have/use them. When i opened the parcel. They are great though. Stick some clear plastic sheets on your list to really get them worried Grin

@Ikeatears we do the same write a list each for options. Then we don't end up with stuff we won't use/like.

Thank you @Snowdogsscarf some good ideas there for me. I could do with more pajamas and my perfume is running low.
