Decorating outside on a budget

I have never decorated outside before (Scrooge) so can I ask you all to help a newbie?

I don’t fancy climbing ladders and nailing lights to the roof, but all other ideas welcome!

i love the light up stags and reindeer but they seem to be around £50. So any budget ideas would be great. Doesn’t have to be classy, just fun and cheerful. Thank you.

There's a thread here where the OP has been gifted an inflatable dinosaur for outside that she doesn't want - maybe drop her a DM!

We do just have lights hanging from the guttering upstairs which does involve a ladder but no nails!
we also have the same lights downstairs in the bay window at the front of the house. Then just the wreath and a little wooden reindeer by the door.
My friend has light up reindeers and snowmen etc but has a lovely big lawn out the front of the house (and they are just expensive!), we just have a flat drive and cars on it which we have no choice but to park on 😂
When we move again I’d like more of a pretty front!

I find it all does add up. I started with icicle lights on the porch and each year I buy one new thing.

Now I am up to the porch lights, two strings of warm whites, a big wooden reindeer with lights round, a baby one with lights round and an eight foot twiggy tree. Plus a set of three hanging stars in an inside window. Simple looks great and magical, you don't need lots

40 years ago when pregnant, my Arab husband and I, white English and Irish were so excited to see what our child would look like including skin tone. It seems ridiculous that anyone in that situation not be curious, not concerned as nothing negative.
Did Harry and and Megan really not wonder.?
I am doubly guilty, a couple of years back I dared to eagerly anticipate what my dg would look like. Normal caring human behaviour and certainly not racist.
