I have always done Christmas eve boxes for my children. It has alway been a book and pjs with hot choc or something similar. Any ideas for how we can change this up and make it more suitable, they are 15, 18 and 21.

My kids at that age, and though we don't do boxes I still get them books and PJ's for Xmas. Not Xmas PjS just normal ones.

I’m struggling to see what isn’t age appropriate about a book, pjs and hot chocolate?!

Pyjamas, miniature of their favourite tipple, sachet of hot chocolate, book, bath bomb. That's what my now adult children are getting, whether they like it nor not.

I have 2 ds' 17 and 10.
They get PJs, sweets or chocolate, and a takeaway menu to pick what they want for their tea 😆

Sounds good might do the same though I usually give those as actual presents!!

I would have a devastated DD on Christmas Eve if the Elf didn't leave the bag!! My DC are 20 and 21!! They get Christmas pjs, lots of snacks, hot chocolate, wee tipple, a giant cracker, Christmassy candle and this year a throw each to help keep the heating down! Also this year I've bought the cluedo interactive mystery game that I saw on here. One time play but thought it sounded good!

Maybe get them a Waterstones voucher rather than a book?
PJs and hot chocolates are good for any age.

MrsWhites · 28/11/2023 20:23

We do:

PJ’s
Christmassy shower gel/bubble bath (this year we have the imperial leather driving gnome for Christmas shower gel)
A shower puff thing (Christmas themed again from home bargains)
Something like a hot water bottle, blanket, hooded fleece type of thing.
Hot chocolate stick
Christmas themed face mask (again home bargains)

You're never too old for a book and hot chocolate.
Maybe cosy Christmas socks rather than jammies.
