I've worked tirelessly over the years to buy DH things he would like but I think I've bought them all now ... Pizza oven, Ember mug, digital notepad. I can't buy him any more shoes!

What are you buying your significant others for Christmas this year? I desperately need some inspo!

I can relate. Things that have gone down well here are:

sheepskin slippers

a cable storage thing, you can get them for travel or staring at home. https://amzn.to/3Rg9po8

A plant

Everything else has been pretty much ignored.

Floofydawg · 25/11/2023 08:42

The bean to cup coffee machine I bought my husband for his 50th went down a treat. For Xmas I've got him new airpods and a chilli's coffee mug so far.

Ponderingtosk · 25/11/2023 08:48

I got DH a portable power bank charger last year, wasn’t sure it was going to be a dud with him but I was all out of other ideas, fortunately he loves it.

Zampa · 25/11/2023 08:58

Thank you! All valuable inspiration!

Definitely going to get him a plant and new travel mug (as I've broken most of them by leaving them on top of the car and driving off).

@Zampa What's your budget?

Kryten1958 · 25/11/2023 09:13

A few years ago my OH was given a lemon plant as an Xmas gift. I saw it at Tesco for £20. There was 20 lemons on it, £1 per lemon.
The lemons were used for G&T, and the plant did not die as expected.
In the spring, the plant produced flowers which made the room smell like sweet lemons!
It lasted for 3 years and was a gift that kept on giving Smile

The last good present I bought my dh was a' i watch a couple of years ago.

Since then it's posh vodka (he loves vodka but won't spend money on grey goose). Pants and socks

@Zampa What's your budget?

For the right thing, I'd go up to £500 for his main present. I've already written off a mini projector but was considering a record player.

Have just bought a Circular & Co travel mug thanks to @Floofydawg.

DH would love this! I don't really want to have to throw money at the problem so this could be perfect for the plant idea.

Experience day ticket?
Driving a super sports car?
Helicopter ride?
White water rafting?
There is hundreds of them , depending what he's into.

You would have thought that would be a great idea but he just ends up not using them as he/we are so time poor.

Thanks for suggesting. I appreciate all the help that I'm getting and DH now has a lemon tree being delivered.

I feel your pain. That's all I have to say. There are presents still in the bottom of his wardrobe untouched. Everything you've had as suggestions I've tried.

Very expensive bamboo, merino wool has been a hit.

This year, I've gone all out and managed to get him tickets for Bruce Springsteen. I'll be cashing that one for at least the next 5 years 😂

Ibizafun · 25/11/2023 12:36

I got dh a Gucci man bag for when he goes away for passports, c/cards etc. Also he can never have enough nice scarves for the winter.

BreakfastClub80 · 25/11/2023 12:45

Is he a wine lover? I’ve looked at the ETO bottles to keep wine perfect for longer if you don’t drink the whole bottle at once 😁.

Good is always a good one for my dh. I buy lots of the things he loves and package them up. I even buy him pies from the posh butchers

AdoringDavidAttenborough · 25/11/2023 13:11

I'm getting ABBA Voyage tickets for mine!

housethatbuiltme · 25/11/2023 14:01

Shoes
Play station charging dock
Guitar rack
Wallet
Belt
Beer gift set
Socks
Sweets for stocking

Not wildly creative.

teenysaladandsniffofarose · 25/11/2023 14:29

Dressing gown
Calvin Klein boxers
Vans t shirts
Vans trainers
Some card games
2024 calendar for his office
Bonsai tree Lego
Mini bop it😂

teenysaladandsniffofarose · 25/11/2023 14:30

What about an experience?

Comedy show
Spa day
Theatre tickets
Tasting menu at a nice restaurant

TherebytheGraceofGodgoI · 25/11/2023 14:32

Does he like beer or lager. These machines have been a massive hit with 3 people I know. Check out Prefect Draft site.
The cheapest is a bargain as we paid £230 last year, I think it’s because a better model is out now. It’s not the cheapest way to drink but everyone loves it.

Dedicate quarter of an acre of beautiful woodland to him?
(£250)

Aside from getting a warm glow about helping ancient trees and wildlife, you can visit it together forevermore...
https://shop.woodlandtrust.org.uk/christmas

Ties in with the lemon tree nicely!
Maybe add some oak and beech wood-smoked salmon, if he likes that?

BarbaraVineFan · 25/11/2023 17:44

Some kind of food or drink subscription? Coffee, cheese, marmalade?

ICantGetNoSheep · 25/11/2023 21:25

A paddleboard (if you live in an area you can use it). My husband loves his

Lamentations · 25/11/2023 21:33

I'm getting mine a pressure washer. Because I think we need a pressure washer. He'll love it.

Zampa · 25/11/2023 22:19

Thank you everyone who's responded. Your help has been invaluable!

@Lamentations Your rationale for the pressure washer is similar to mine was when I bought the pizza oven!

@ICantGetNoSheep DH went paddle boarding for the first time this summer and loved it. I did think about buying a SUP but it would only get used once or twice a year and they're more expensive than I anticipated!

@AdoringDavidAttenborough I'm going to try and sort childcare for a weekend in 2024 for Abba Voyage tickets!

@teenysaladandsniffofarose A calendar will be going into DH's stocking. Cheers!

@ArthurChristmas22 Enjoy Bruce! I've bought DH some merino underwear which I hope will go down well (not a euphemism!).
