Has any bought DIY Xmas crackers?

want to have a go at making them so I can put a small considered gift.

any recommendations?

I usually buy them from Hobbycraft, they are assembled with one end left open for filling. I like fairly plain crackers, which the Hobbycraft ones are (no foil, no glitter, so I can recycle the cardboard). I did try to assemble them from a flat pack DIY cracker kit one year and found it really tricky bu5g I did see some nice kits in The Works this year and they are cheap.

Hobby craft ones only available in store and not one near me. ordered M& S and will collect.

now to figure out what to put in them!

I usually get some from Oxfam. They are not for making from scratch but you can add your own small items.
