Backpack suggestions for ds first grown-up job

I'd really appreciate any suggestions please. Hoping to choose a backpack for ds as a useful Christmas gift. He's about to start his first proper job after uni. I'm hoping for for a practical to use daysack, properly waterproof for travel, able to hold a 16 inch laptop occasionally, that looks reasonably cool for work in a data/IT kind of setting. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
