Makeup for teen

Elder DD is after some makeup for Christmas.

I’m off to John Lewis tomorrow, as they seem to have loads of in-store makeup concessions.

Can anyone recommend a brand that would be good for a teenager? DD and I have as much clue as each other on this, but I do want to help her to get some nice bits for Christmas 🎄

Benefit have nice make up and think there might be 25% off at the moment. Most of the products last a while too and the mascaras are really good. They have little Christmas sets too.

Urban decay have great eyeshadow pallets

Otherwise Charlotte tilbury really nice and great packaging

Morphe is another good one

DD14 bought Benefit makeup today with her birthday money. Good quality but not too pricey. Loads of offers on this week. We got 25% off in Boots.

Teenagers seem to like high end stuff these days (not like when I was at school when it was Constance Carroll from
The market or Rimmel if you were feeling flush!)

Have a look at P Louise online. They've got great sales on at the minute and is very popular.

Otherwise a token item from Dior seems to be a coveted item.

In John Lewis maybe look at Charlotte tilbury, Mac, Huda beauty.

Cheaper end is Elf. Very good value for money and got some good dupes for high end stuff

Amazing, thank you so much for these suggestions!!!

God! 13 year old me loved a bit of Constance Carroll!

I’ve heard Glossier is good and teens seems to like it.

Ostagazuzulum · 25/11/2023 06:15

Glossier have a 24% sale on at moment.

I've not tried mascara but it's meant to be good. I can vouch for cloud paint, stretch concealer and eye washes though. They're really nice.

The dot balm are meant to be really good two. I've bought a couple for DD for Xmas. They're viral on tiktok as well!

I’d recommend Morphe, not as expensive as high end but my teen and her friends still love it and shop there all the time.

Benefit is also good. Kiko also have some nice stuff at reasonable prices.

kylie Jenner’s range is also popular with mine - they are stocked in boots now.

My 14 year old has a lot of high end stuff like Charlotte Tilbury, benefit, urban decay, Dior, glossier, also plouise. She loves visiting the Glossier shop in Covent Garden, the novelty of the conveyor belt I think!

She absolutely swears by Elf cosmetics though and some items from Collection.
