I'd buy them a hamper from Fortnum and mason or M&S

They have varying price points

I’ve just found Cookaway and have sent a voucher to arrived on Xmas day for a beef wellington experience- they can choose when to get the box delivered!!

they bought us something similar a few years ago but this website seems more practice and over looking food and have a Black Friday sale on at the moment!!

Could you get them a voucher for a tasting near them? Neal's Yard used to do a cheese and whisky evening.

Voucher for ProCook or other utensil provider.

Do you know what ingredients they already have?

A tagine Food Nation Tasty Tagine - Boots filled with cous cous, preserved lemons, sumac, edible rose petals and this Wild Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup | Ocado which is a lovely addition to champagne/prosecco and the flower is edible

If they are in london, I've heard good things from this cookery school. You could give them a voucher. London Cooking Classes | Waitrose & Partners

A voucher to learn how to make sushi. DH and I did this pre-covid and I still often make it from scratch. YO! Sushi School (yosushi.com)

Some lovely olive oil and perhaps some other specialty oils or vinegars.

My most successful present to a foodie friend who loves cooking was a grow your own chillis kit from Boots I think you can also get kits to grow mushrooms indoors - some of the more exotic ones look like rather striking sculptures.

I bought my brother a Masala Dabba one year too, very well received it was.

I use mine all the time, I bought it when I was gifted an Indian cookery lesson, which was also a great present.

Run4it2 · 23/11/2023 13:20

That's the one! I couldn't for the life of me think of the right name!

Solkiki chocolate. Totally delicious.

I have just had a selection sent by my daughter.
Absolutely heavenly, ethical and vegan (although you wouldn't know it by the taste)

The lemon, pecan and fig leaf chunks are fabulous.

Decent Fino sherry and naice florentines are on my Xmas list, and I am pretty foodie. I am considering getting myself some Betty's Christmas fondant fancies in the post...

I would also like some nice hiking snacks. You know that random crap you get in TK Maxx like spicy dried mango and dried mushroom risotto/salad topper. That!

I would also love the makings of a naice but easy supper, like truffle sauce and nice pasta with a decent bottle of Chianti and lump of good cheese to grate on top, if you wanted me to be specific. I might take it on a self-catering holiday, for example.

My DH has hot sauce on his list...
