I am looking for recommendations to make the house smell like christmas?

An oil for the diffuser would be idea or a candle.

Any recommendations would be amazing, thank you

I got these sachets in a department store last week and have put them on my radiators and the smell is amazing. Have a look on Amazon or petrol stations/department stores they are a few £

There's a local company to me does a gingerbread candle and I LOVE it. I must go through half a dozen 40 hour candles in an average December.

Unfortunately they only sell locally but lots of other brands will do a gingerbread scent.

White Company Fir Tree candle. Have been burning it today and it's totally the scent of Christmas.

LyndaSnellsSniff · 22/11/2023 20:18

I'm in the minority, but I really don't like The White Company Winter candle. I much prefer their Fir Tree candle for Christmas but some might say it spells like toilet cleaner!

I absolutely LOVE Druid Edinburgh's Woodlands candle. It smells like Christmas trees combined with a walk through the woods on a cold, frosty day. It's gorgeous.

Rainbowthyme · 22/11/2023 20:20

Have you tried studding oranges with cloves? It's a nice activity and they smell beautiful!

ManchesterLu · 22/11/2023 20:20

A real Christmas tree and a Yankee Christmas Eve candle are what do it for me. I usually can't be arsed with a real tree, though.

This is nice

I do simmer pots- apples, oranges, cloves, vanilla.
Cooking pastries and brewing coffee does the trick too.
Coffee scented wax melts or candles. Ambergris is a lovely warm scent, I like this Amber White Company candle too
This Pine Scented one is great, doesn't smell like pinesol!

Reed diffusers in every room- food scents in eating rooms, neutral scents in frequented rooms and interesting stronger scents in walk-through areas like hallways, stairs, doorways.

I'm currently in the process of arranging Aroma 360 or similar in our house. https://aroma360.com/en-gb/pages/wireless-pro

I love next festive spice!

threecupsofteaminimum · 22/11/2023 20:59

Tisfortired · 23/11/2023 18:09

@Whiterose23 I just ordered some of these - this thread made me want to buy the WC candle but these are slightly easier on the bank balance 🙈

Vinoveritass · 23/11/2023 18:10

A neom pod with a festive scent

SeanMean · 23/11/2023 18:12

White company winter diffuser oil- really lovely.

It’s on now and I’m loving it!

pumpkintart · 23/11/2023 18:17

Personally I love the simmer pots you can chance the aromatics to your preference and last for several boils

pickledandpuzzled · 23/11/2023 18:17

I am going to do some simmer pot, pot pourri type things I think- artificial scents can be really bad for us.

The orange/clove and so on will be healthier!

TryAgainWithFeeling · 23/11/2023 18:20

St Eval candles are some of the best I’ve found for actually holding their scent all the way down.

Or, considerably less fancy than most suggestions, air wick candles are more strongly scented than most! They do an apply and cinnamon one which is gently Christmassy.

TotalOverhaul · 23/11/2023 18:29

Came on to say the same as everyone else. White company winter oil. I put a drop on each radiator in the house. It smells so Christmassy. M&S do a similar one that is lovely too.

TotalOverhaul · 23/11/2023 18:30

I also like cleaning the house with Method clementine spray and almond floor polish.
Then a fresh pine Christmas tree and lots of baking!

Skandinavisk Skog candle/diffuser

Smells exactly like a Christmas tree, and is scented with natural oils, not artifical flavours

I ordered this on the strength of this recommendation. I was disappointed when it arrived yesterday: it smelled, at best, of Radox Bath Bubbles.

However, this morning my sitting room smells as if I have a real tree in there. It's fabulous and I am delighted with it.

Thanks for the recommendation Wazzzzzuuuuuuup 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

Cosy Aromas - especially the cranberry, orange & cinnamon, but all their Christmas range is gorgeous. They have wax melts, room sprays, fragrance oils etc. They also do a monthly VIP wax melt collection. I love their scents

This.

Lovely Christmassy scent without being overpowering or sickly, and not nearly as expensive as other nice ones. My go-to every year.
