2 player Game/activity for Xmas day

Looking for a game or activity for myself and my 10 year old to play on Xmas day whilst dads in the kitchen cooking up the dinner.

Bonus points if it can include him when he bobs in inbetween stirring the gravy and basting the Turkey.

Previous years she's played with her toys but looking down her list she hasn't asked for any this year and I'd rather keep her off her iPad

We have the whole family coming round in the evening so she'll have cousins to play with later on, just wanting something to fill the gap between opening presents and sitting down to eat

I currently have the additional criteria of not requiring reading and we have story cubes (https://amzn.eu/d/gtCAtlo) and Dobble that work for 2 players.

Thinking of getting tinderblox but I've not tried it out.

I've got this for us to play on Xmas morning - Fizz Creations - Escape Room Xmas Day - Boots

I was thinking maybe an escape room, I'll take a look thanks

We have some lovely 2 player games that my husband and I play. But one in particular that would be ideal for her age is 7 wonders duel :)

We always have a Christmas jigsaw on the go. People can come and go as they please with it

"Forbidden Island" is a great boardgame that takes around 30 mins to play, and involves teamwork between the players (so someone who pops in could watch and give advice!)

The Sock Game is great fun and dad could have a go when he's got a few minutes. https://www.thesockgame.co.uk/shop

We have the sock game and she isn't very good at it so she never wants to play. I really like it

Love letters is a nice card game that can be played easily with two or three, my kid loves it. Carcassone and forbidden island are good two player family games too.

We bought screwball scramble and the extension- think this would work well with alternating every time the ball comes off
