Just that really, turkey etc, when are you collecting? I have a click and collect slot booked for the afternoon of Friday (22nd) but i'm worrying how fresh will things really still be by Christmas and boxing day?

Delivery on the 23rd - I think 22nd will be fine. All the shops are back open on the 27th if you need fresh salad too up.

I'm not.

The duck, sausages and smoked salmon are already in the freezer. I'll buy festive groceries gradually over the next three weeks, and then do a last food shop of dairy and veg at 7am on the 23rd.

I’m not bothering this year as there are always too many substitutions or missing items. I have a Morrisons food to order which has Turkey, beef and some other bits for early collection in the 23rd. I’ll pick up the carrots, parsnips & cream then. Everything else I will have in as have been buying bits each week, and preparing & freezing stuff like pigs in blankets, red cabbage. I don’t go to the supermarket until the kids go back, milk from the Co-op in the next village between then.

M&S food to order pick up on the Fri evening, never had any issues with anything being out of stock and the food is guaranteed until at least boxing day, ive not had issues with freshness. I've also got a christmas food order for other bits to pick up at sainsburys christmas eve at 10 am.

Thanks, I should be fine with the Friday then. Could always do a Morrisons trip for lettuce etc on christmas eve and just hope they have in stock
