Gift ideas for DH - what are you getting yours?

Looking for some ideas for my DH.

He's got a lot of hobbies and interests but I feel like he's got everything!

Loves cars (he races), making posh coffee, making pizzas, BBQs/smoking, any sort of 'fancy' cooking particularly meats, Formula 1, cricket, snooker.

I'm getting him some clothes, a book and an aeropress. Just looking for some more ideas as it's also his birthday.

What are you getting yours??

My DH is a nightmare to buy for, he literally wants for nothing and I've run out of experience type gifts as he's done all those. Help.

Hedjwitch · 19/11/2023 15:38

DH is uber boring and has little in the way of hobbies or interests.
A sleep headband with earphones in
A football shirt
Some chutney/pickles for cheese.
A sweatshirt.

Really dull.

My husband loves back to the future but he's not a fan of musicals. I'm tempted as a half present to myself as it's an excuse to go to London for a weekend!

If your husband is into cricket may I suggest a tour of Lords cricket ground. I bought one for my husband a few years ago and he loved it.

They cost about £30.

Lord's Cricket Ground Tour | Lord's (lords.org)

Trainers ( cheap ones )
Wellies ( cheap ones )
a costly dust extracting thing for the garage .

YorkieTheRabbit · 19/11/2023 18:11

My suggestions were for your husband OP, we have some of the things I mentioned.

BotterMon · 19/11/2023 18:14

A whisky advent calendar. We don't really do Christmas/birthdays and just buy stuff as and when we need it.

Popetthetreehugger · 19/11/2023 18:26

A globe that you colour in as you visit , I got it Friday in a shop at the bottom of the oxo tower , then had to carry the thing round all day !

caringcarer · 19/11/2023 18:38

I've asked twice but he hasn't suggested anything yet. For his birthday he has a cinema subscription for a year. All I've got him so far are a few stocking fillers. A stainless steel set of 4 different pizza oils, a Tobler and a couple of bars of marzipan.

EcoCustard · 19/11/2023 21:53

Dh so far has a book, will probably get him another one.
A nice lightweight wool blend jumper.
A nice pair of wool slippers.
l’Occitane shower gel.
Opinel knife.
That’s it so far, he has no hobbies, hasn’t played golf in an age.

Thank you for this, will be getting this for my husband! He will love it.

onedayatatime73 · 20/11/2023 17:51

A night at a hotel and paying a sitter to stay overnight. He doesn't really want anything so thought spending time away without the DCs the best I could think of.

Plus one of those digital photo frames for his home desk and will upload pics from across the years.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 20/11/2023 18:59

My DH will tell me what he'd like nearer Christmas. But so far I've bought him a bottle of Japanese whisky which I really hope he'll like. It's a bit more special than his usual bottles.

My DS has also bought him a 'cheesy feet' cheese board! A perfect combination of a useful and slightly insulting gift! DS is delighted with his purchase 😆

CornishGem1975 · 20/11/2023 20:12

So far...

A jumper from M&S (Christmas tradition)
Some hot sauces
A bottle of espresso martini cocktail
Christmas socks
Obligatory Toblerone
PJs
Moisturiser that he likes
Big pot of spiced nuts from M&S

Also going to get him some hand cream, some fancy chocolate, pants, maybe a new wallet as his got stolen this year and he's not replaced....
