Christmas food shop query?

If I'm ordering a food shop to be delivered on 22nd is payment taken at time of checkout of delivery?

Its taken on the 22nd.

Sorry I usually use Asda but was just wondering if anyone knew for each of the big shops before I booked...Sorry my fault should have said

I use Sainsburys and it always comes off my card on the day of delivery.

It usually gets reserved the night before delivery for most I think, then when they pick it and adjust what you are getting the total they take adjusts

Guys, Asda is different. I used it once and it got reserved in my card even though I cancelled the order, then it took a while to refund, too. Completely different from, for example, Sainsbury's which just charges you early in the morning of the delivery day.

Thank you that's what I wanted to check. Asda usually takes the day I order it so wanted to check if they had changed it for Christmas orders... Shall go elsewhere

Yeah. Asda reserves the money the day you order.
