Hello,

My DNephew was born beginning of Nov so won't be at the age of understanding Christmas etc but I still want to get something special for him that remembers his first Christmas.

It's been a long time since my DS was that small and his first Christmas he was a a few months older that DN will be so he was up most of it and had little cars etc that he could play with.

Does anyone have any ideas of good gifts that could be brought out each year or something that could be used even after Christmas etc?

He already will be getting a personalised robe with pjs, stocking, bauble etc.

TIA!!

I usually buy books for babies. You could get a nicely illustrated copy of The Night Before Christmas for him?

There are some good Christmas-themed board books: e.g. DK's 'Baby's First Christmas (Dorling Kindersley); Rod Campbell's 'Dear Santa'; Eric Hill's 'Spot's First Christmas'.

I think 1m old is a bit young for a dressing gown and pjs. How about a babygrow. My child is 2 and barely keeps a dressing gown on!

We bought a bauble for ours.

Jellycat reindeer or a nice mug/plate

I would go with a lovely personalised Christmas book that way it’s something that he can look at every year. Won’t mean much this year but still nice and sentimental.

I would go for a personalised 'first Christmas' photo frame. We received one as a gift for our DTwins first Christmas and bring it out with our decorations every year. I think it was probably from notonthehighstreet.
