What to buy for nephew who loves minecraft

Any wise mumsnetters familiar with minecraft? My nephew loves it and I want to get him something related for Christmas but I don't understand it at all. I'm thinking a voucher for in app purchasing (if that is thing in minecraft?) Or an expansion pack. Or something to enhance his gaming. He plays on an ipad if that's relevant.

I know there are minecraft branded items e.g. clothes, water bottles etc but I am hoping for something more directly relevant to gameplay.

Help! Budget about £30.

You can buy Minecoins as a voucher from Amazon. These allow them to buy skins and different modes etc. Mine always appreciate them.

Alternatively my Minecraft mad DSs like the Minecraft World magazine. A 6 month subscription is about £22.

I'd second what @JaninaDuszejko suggested. My kids loved those books and I think they were genuinely helpful for them finding out what they could do.

I know this isn't what you had in mind but I'm just going to mention Minecraft Lego, which is great.

WH Smith's sell Minecraft watches.

I'm considering the books for DGS

Mine play minecraft and I do not encourage in app purchases at all. Mine have never spent anything on the game itself and are perfectly happy that way.

Depending on age, mine would be delighted with minecraft Lego, plushies (which I think are a waste of money but still…) books, or branded home ware like rucksack, duvet, pyjamas.

How about ‘how to draw minecraft figures’ book?

The dc I work with really like the block book and Lego Minecraft.

Smiths had a good range of Minecraft stuff last Xmas, including an annual.

Calendar, blanket or mug with the theme, you could create it on a photo gift website.

The Bite-Sized Builds book series is great, there are three of them. My daughter loves the broken down stages of building really neat things.
