Gift for my cousin that’s not

Alcohol, food, chocolate, a candle or reed diffuser, anything for the bathroom or perfume! Budget about £20. I’m stumped. She doesn’t need cosy socks or pjs either. She’s late 40s. I said no chocolate as I will be buying her the Marks and Spencer chocolate village box. Thanks for any thoughts you’ve got!

Salad tongs,
Craft kit (cross stitch- you can get some cool one's nowadays),
Cocktail kit (again you can get some really funky ones)

....just go into Oliver Bonas and get something from there!

Ideas:
-velvet purse, leather pencil case or make up bag from Monsoon
-Scarves make a good present: they don’t take up much space and you can’t have too many.
-If you have Waterstones near by it has nice gifts section.

What does she like to do?

Are there any family photos, like her and your grandmother, or your mums together, that you could enlarge and do something with? Photo box have a sale on at the moment.

Calendar? Nice to look at, useful and can be recycled easily.

Underwear. I love getting pants I wouldn’t buy myself.

Doormat. Looks nice wrapped up. Useful.

Its not a case of what she 'wants' (if you had that you wouldn't be asking) its a case of giving the people you are asking for suggestions clues to guide them in suggestions.

A word travelled childless 48 year old who loves fine wine, exotic food and art is likely going to want something completely different to a 47 year old mam of 5 who loves karaoke, home comforts and nostagia.
