The main I wanted sold out as I was reserving a slot. Do they ever come back in stock or is that it?

Thanks 😊

No, they don't but it may be worth changing branch if you have another fairly local one to collect from? Our local one sells out very quickly with the initial Christmas slots but there's another branch 15 miles away in a much quieter time and I have had luck that way before.

I wouldn't recommend the Christmas meat either, after ordering a joint of beef for £100 thinking it would feed 8 to 10 - and it was the size of my fist. I wasn't allowed to return it, but I did kick off by email and they gave me a £25 gift card.

Cannot work out what response to such a normal thread would warrant being deleted?

No I don't think so, though I once had something 'sold out' for a delivery and then went to the store and bought it off the shelf!
And when updating a Sainsbury's delivery for Christmas, it said before I checked out again of i went ahead a few of the things I had ordered would now be out of stock, as if I was ordering from that day rather than just updating my cart. So I didn't check out and just went to the shop for those bits as didn't want to lose my turkey!
It is a risk. Funnily enough I'm going to the US for Christmas, they have online food shopping but is not as widely used as here (at least not in that city), so we shop in person on the 23rd and there's no problem with stock!
