Favourite Christmas chocolates to gift or receive

What would you consider nice chocolates to give as gifts that most people like?

What would you love to receive?

I'm thinking Hotel Chocolat, Lindt, Ferraro Rocher and less Quality Streets or Miniature Heroes.

I do love the C&W champagne truffles. last year Costco did boxes of them something like 2 boxes for £10! Not standard packaging but not sure if the recipe was the same.
I will have to try the violet cream
and also the pistachio ones are on my list.

Lindor, Black Magic or Hotel Chocolate

Will get some HC for Christmas, before anything changes… The Pink Champagne ones are very nice!

You've reminded me about the champagne truffles which I think are cheaper than the C&W ones but still nice!

I've never understood the love for Lindt chocolates as they're too sweet for me. I love BoojaBooja and Audrey's chocolates.

The chocolate tool set, no doubt.

Not a fan of lindt and montezumas are 🤢

Hotel chocolate are fine but not worth the money to me really.

I'm happy with a box of milk tray or something from m&s 😋

Would much prefer a tin of quality streets, bar of cadburys or a chocolate orange 😂

I'll preface my recommendation by saying I find most chocolate too sweet, and I don't especially like filled chocolate. Also it's pricey.
But if you like seriously aromatic dark chocolate, try Willie's Cacao.
I have only ever bought it for one other person, who I know shares my chocolate taste. They adored it.

I don't get the hotel Chocolat love at all. It just tastes waxy to me.

The small salted caramel pine cones are very sweet and sickly - not enough chocolate. If you'd asked about their dessert pine cones - now you're talking! If you can get them reduced later they also freeze well (if you have any over 😉)

I don’t like truffles or praline, so would rather have a box of After Eights?

Leonidas are the favourite in my house. I bought my parents a wee box as part of their Christmas last year, and they have asked for a box each for Christmas. They loved sitting by the fire and having some chocolates before bed.

I also love monty bojangles truffles.
