Im not 100% sure what I’m looking for so looking for some inspiration if anyone fancies a challenge 😅 I’d like a long Christmas decoration/ornament of some kind to sit along the top of my tv unit.

The tv sits on feet on the unit so there’s a gap along the bottom of the tv that I’d love to fill with something nice and festive looking.
Ideally 1 item rather than making a display of things as we have young DC and I know how it will end up with lots of bits 😅

I’ve seen a couple of things that I like on Balsam Hill but I don’t LOVE them and they’re quite pricey! I’ll add pics of them for reference though. Have seen a couple of similar styles on Amazon & Wayfair but the reviews aren’t great.

Max length 42” and height about 6”. Under £100 would be ideal 😊

Those villages look lovely but very attractive to inquisitive dc, although I suppose if they don't do anything other than light up, once the children have had a good look they might leave them alone (hopefully). I do think if they are very young you'll probably have them wanting to fiddle with anything so easy to reach, so whatever you choose, it should be robust enough to cope with that, and leave anything more fragile or faffy until they are older.

Is it that kind of decoration you're looking for, rather than say a pre-lit garland with robust bits in it (like fake berries or shatterproof baubles) and perhaps a decorative word like NOEL in festive letters? Or even strands of tinsel with bauble clusters at the ends and in the middle? I usually have something along these lines on the mantelpiece, with bunting along underneath.

@TheNoodlesIncident I have a garland etc for the mantelpiece already 😊 was specifically something different I fancied for along the top of the tv unit 😊
I do think DC will be fine with it after the initial look 😊 I had originally thought of doing a little village with individual houses etc but think that would be too tempting for little hands 😅

@Forgottenmyphone Not keen on that design but I forgot about NOTHS 😊 I’ll have a look on there for others! Thank you!
