Our children seemed to have outgrown lots of the Christmas books we have. They still love their bedtime story but it would be good to refresh their Christmas books. They are 6 and 9. What’s a nice Christmas book for this age?

Holly Webb does some lovely time slip Christmas novels for this age. The 9 year old might want to read themselves but the 6 year old they will make a good bedtime story.

DD and DS liked Matt Haig's A Boy Called Christmas series at around that age.

I’m refreshing our Christmas books that are more suited to what DC’s aged 9, 8 & 6 will want to read. So far:
Zoe’s Rescue Zoo- Runaway Reindeer.
The Girl who saved Christmas, Matt Haig.
The Night I met Father Christmas, Ben Miller.
The Christmasauras, Tom Fletcher.

Tom Fletcher’s The Christmasaurus series of books (4 of them) are great.

Have a look at this site. I am always recommending it but i find it excellent. They have a list of high quality kids books and there is a short Christmas category. Everything i found on this site was worthwhile so far.

I’m reading Enid Blyton’s Christmas Stories to my 8 & 9 year old and we’re all loving it! They beg me to carry on every night.

Hi, I found the most amazing magical Christmas adventure book. Both my 6year old son and 15year old daughter absolutely love it they’ve said it’s their favourite Christmas book ever which is a big statement from them! It’s called Elves of the Arctic by S J Woodward. This is her first book she’s published herself and it’s truly amazing! I really hope there’s another coming!

I am looking for a funny Christmas kids book for my 6-year-old son. My son has read all the Wonkey Donkey series books and loves them. If I’m honest I love them too (so funny). Generally, Christmas kid's books can be quite informative but without the fun and giggles.
