My sons birthday is in the second week of December so not too far from Christmas.

at the moment he loves Pokémon , Mario and ninja turtles.

he has most things

for Christmas he wanted a PlayStation 5 I’ve already purchased this. He has ran out of ideas because he has everything previously asked for over the years I’m just so stuck on what to get him he has every dress up costume you could think that any boy wants he’s got all the figures racing cards jigsaws drawing boards cars he can go in and drive the large ones I’m just completely out of ideas if any one could help me? He does love draw if he is a great drawer for his age

If he's already getting a PS5, I presume you're talking about a few extras?

Draw with Rob book
Books - 13 Storey Treehouse set or Tom Gates
A board game?
Pokémon cards
Smyths has some good Mario gaming merch - I bought a nice retro light from there

Ragruggers · 12/11/2023 08:34

Well someone has bought him all this stuff!! How lucky is he.I would buy a family pass to the NT or local activity and stop buying him stuff.Good luck with that when he is a teen.

Singsonggsu · 12/11/2023 08:39

What about a day out so you can spend some time together?
Could you buy him a gift that benefits someone else from a charity or something thing like that? Save the children do wonderful virtual gifts like a school bag kit or toys for children living in areas of conflict around the world. You could have a lovely conversation with him about how fortunate he is by giving him the gift of empathy on his birthday.

Whinge · 12/11/2023 08:39

He's 6, there's plenty you can buy for that age. Books, games, bike, scooter, science kits, experiences / days out.

If you think he has too much then have a clear out. Having rooms stuffed with toys is overwhelming and if a child has too much choice they often complain they don't know what to play with. Although if you've bought a PS5 for a 6 year old then I suspect most of the toys and other gift ideas will be ignored in favour of gaming. Sad

@Ragruggers your right someone has bought him all that stuff and that’s myself my partner and my very helpful mother! He had severe head/Brain surgery that caused ALOT of complications so if I want to spoil my DS and I can afford I most definitely will I’m not asking you for your input in anything else apart from what to get a 6 Year old! 😊

Theatre tickets! We have similar situation, birthday in January and an older brother, so he already has a bike, scooter etc.
He loves ballet, so we are going to see the Nutcracker, but we also get Panto tickets and a musical.

Vtech marble run sets are awesome

Whataretheodds · 12/11/2023 08:49

I also wouldn't get him more 'stuff'. I would find things to do with him.

If he likes drawing, there are some great How to Draw x books for kids. Some personalised pens or pencils?

Otherwise I also wouldn't get him more 'stuff'. I would find things to do with him.

Lovelyjubbbly · 12/11/2023 08:49

@Morechocmorechoc oh we’re do i get these?

Lovelyjubbbly · 12/11/2023 08:54

@Whataretheodds I might have a we look in studio I’m sure they do personalised things that would be great he would love pens and pencils with his name on them he’s just started primary one so be great for school.

Vetch marble run is very good I agree, you can find on amazon (or that's where I got ours!)

Maybe take apart toys? Where you have the drill and can take all the bits apart?

Board/family games that you can play together on Xmas day and then come out once in a while in future?

Depending on his interests - coding, science, electrical circuit sets can be really good

HAF1119 · 12/11/2023 09:15

Also I've just seen he likes personalised stuff.. Santa letter direct do personalised videos from Santa, as well as personalised Xmas books etc. or if you're after non Santa based then a book from wonderbly?

AdoringDavidAttenborough · 12/11/2023 09:20

Snap circuits electronic set ( my daughter of the same age loves hers)
Personalised potion making kit from The Potion Lab
Music lessons? If he is interested
Ukele and a "teach yourself" book (also beloved of DD)
Crystal growing kit

HAF1119 · 12/11/2023 09:23

I should have put this all in one message sorry!

Other ideas

Screwball scramble
Where's Wally Christmas
These are oddly addictive (memory learning to copy the pattern or press them fast as possible)

Pocket Games for Kids 4 Modes Quick Push Game with Level Display Light Up Pop It Game 200 Levels Astronauts Sensory Toys for Autism,Handheld Games with Screwdriver for 3+ Year old Boys/Girls amzn.eu/d/hyABRV5

Some special clothes related to fave game/tv show etc?

Parker231 · 12/11/2023 09:23

It doesn’t have to be a physical present but can be an activity. Do you live near one of the iFLY locations or a pottery making class?

Morechocmorechoc · 12/11/2023 09:48

Try v tech marble rush adventure on amazon

Morechocmorechoc · 12/11/2023 09:48

You can get a few different ones, keep them entertained for ages building and playing

Lovelyjubbbly · 12/11/2023 10:26

Thanks for all the ideas guys! A lot have said the marble rush I think I will try get this seen Argos are selling it for £20! Also have ordered some Pokémon pjs out Amazon this morning their lovely bright yellow he will love these! I might try some family games and word games as he had an extra year in nursery due to his surgery I previously stated it had a big effect on his learning and development so some word games and things he would benefit from thanks!

The one I got was this for about £40

What to get a 6 year old for Christmas/birthday that has everything a child could ask for?
HAF1119 · 12/11/2023 15:21

It's quite interactive as you have a push button to fly the balls up a ramp and a trigger to fly them over into a 'net' but also options to make smaller ones so they can do it easier. It's honestly been played with to death!

uncomfortablydumb53 · 12/11/2023 15:33

A marble run
A three wheel scooter( if he can ride after his brain injury)
Octons
Drawing tablet( less than£20)
