What do I want for Christmas??!

Help!

DH wants ideas of what to get me for Christmas.

For me Christmas presents should be surprises (I appreciate that other people do things differently) so I don't want to give him specific things or a list but I could do with some hints to drop.

In the past there have been hits and misses with what he has bought me. Some have been brilliant, some less so.

Problem is I can't think of anything I want so maybe you wise ladies could help me out.

Things I like:

Writing books (but I use the laptop for that)
Afternoon naps
My son
Watching shite reality TV or period dramas
Our wedding which was 2 months ago
Reading historical romance novels (like Phillipa Gregory but not because her recent ones have been pants)
Walking said dog
My family
Dancing

If you give me ideas I can think of a way to drop hints that somehow means I won't know exactly what I'm getting!

Sorry, forgot to say

Budget is £100 and 2 or 3 things for that
I don't like vouchers/alcohol/food gifts

No wonder he has run out of ideas after 15 years 😅

New pair of earrings
Cosy (cashmere?) jumper to keep you warm on walks
Heated blanket to nap under (I thought these were ridiculous until DH came home with one for me last week)
Piece of artwork

Wanttobeok · 11/11/2023 23:08

Heated blanket sounds brilliant! I will Google those. He's very tight with the heating

I wear glasses so don't tend to wear earings much but good idea in theory

I'd love a print from our Wedding but I'd need to tell him which one, I could probably think of a way to drop hints for that though

Get a dreamland heated throw, all the knockoffs aren't anywhere near as good.

BangingOn · 12/11/2023 08:37

Another vote for a heated throw. Also, really warm woollen socks for dog walking. I was bought some as a present and the joy they bring me on winter dog walks is huge. Cashmere wrist warmers are also fab.

How about a big canvas related to your wedding (any photos you love?), a memory book or wedding dress preservation?

Wanttobeok · 12/11/2023 08:53

Heated throw and wedding canvas both excellent ideas. Just got to drop hints now

any more ideas?

Lots of wedding momentos on etsy depending on your taste.

Wanttobeok · 12/11/2023 13:10

Thanks I'll take a look but I'm not really into novelty gifts so it would depend - no paper weights 😅

Wedding canvas - perhaps you could mark 2-3 pictures you like the best for him to choose ultimately ?

Decent socks if you like walking or sone good boots for doing so

Heated throw
Cashmere gloves or wrist warmers or scarf for a bit of luxury

Something not practical just because like fave sweets or body wash or a llipstick (depending on what's your thing)

GinevraFanshawe · 13/11/2023 15:18

This is really frivolous so may not be your style at all, but I have been dropping HEAVY hints about either a gothic tiara or christmas tiara from Etsy. There's a huge range of prices so you can get a cheap and cheerful one or a more blingy one.

I also like a little project at Christmas, so something like cross stitch/ knitting/ a little mosaic set/ a paint by numbers kit made up of one of your favourite photos are all really fun.

Wanttobeok · 13/11/2023 16:51

I LOVE the idea of doing a paint by numbers of one of our wedding photos. Never knew that was a thing! Just googled and they aren't expensive either. I do love a project!

Not sure a Tiara is very me 😅 but I hope your hints are taken and you get a nice one.

I am curious as to why your wearing glasses impacts on how often you wear earrings?

Wanttobeok · 13/11/2023 19:08

Too much face furniture!
