Secret Santa - please help me find a present

Ok I’ve drawn a male in his 30s for secret santa. He’s a bit of a dude, surfy type. The main problem is he will be flying in with hand luggage only so this rules out anything liquid / sharp / big / bulky. He doesn’t wear jewellery and doesn’t read books. Last year someone got him a hat and gloves so rule those out too. Not particularly foodie either.

Need a few ideas please! Budget £20.

scratchcard(s)
high quality charging cable

plus chocolate/sweets/savoury snacks

Does he actually surf of is that a random description?

Surfers tend to love 'Sex Wax', there stuff is usually only a couple of quid and great stocking filler.

This is slightly over budget but you could probably buy a few individual bits and make your own version.

I thought about tech but he used an old Nokia until about 5 years ago and I don’t know what he uses now.

Scratchcards are out as the rule is no vouchers or money.

Snacks I would do but he is going straight to the airport after we get together, so whatever I choose has to fit in a small flight bag.

He is travelling with a female and if I’d picked her I’d buy a necklace or bracelet. What’s the equivalent for a non-jewellery wearer?!

What about a small dry bag. Ordanance survey do them or any other sailory type shop. Or you can get waterproof thingies to keep phone in. They are useful for all sorts of stuff.
Look at Gull or Gill stuff. The ordanance survey shop also has a nice quick drying towel with a map of London on it.

Does he actually surf? If so, there are a few gifts in your price range on here https://thewaveshack.com/reviewed-products/best-gift-ideas-for-uk-surfers/#£10%20-%20£25

I know you said no books, but the Lonely Planet do a surf guide which will probably interest him far more than an autobiography. Or something promoting the surfers against sewage campaign?

A nice moisturiser or sun screen? Hair products? A set of miniatures (Dead Mans Fingers rum or AU vodka are both nice). Haviana Flip flops?

You could get a multi tech charging cable - then the brand won't matter

Thank you all so much, some brilliant ideas. I’m going to try and suss out how much surfing he does these days, I get the impression it was his life when he was younger but he doesn’t live near the sea now!

sea to summit microfibre travel towel
