Thread title inspired by the 'it's time' Christmas trend as it's now time for Christmas now halloween is over!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

Are you in touch with the new owners/loaners? Would they give you a bit of the horses mane or tail to have made in to a bracelet?

As a previously pony loving child, nothing will ever match up to a pony (sorry! I had to wait and buy my own when I was 23)

BlackFlyChardonnay · 08/11/2023 09:52

I'm really struggling for ideas for my BIL - ideas welcome.

He doesn't really 'need' anything. I'd characterise him as stylish/image conscious, sentimental/romantic, creative, classic style...

Up to about £40. I thought about a monogrammed leather travel bag (not the canvas style from earlier - that gave me the idea for a travel bag, but that type posted wouldn't be his style) but that would probably be more expensive.

Any ideas welcome!

Bowtastic have a 10 for £12 offer on their Christmas Bows. I've ordered their School set before and they were really nice.
They have 2 pre-made selections or you can pick 10 of your own.

Loads of question re oodies - is it worth someone starting a separate thread. I’ve bought 6 from £5 website - all oodies - £13.99 each.

Did you get them recently? All the £13.99 out of stock for me. Just wondering if it's worth checking back or once they are gone they are gone?

Beingacatbed · 08/11/2023 10:07

For anyone looking for the 5poundstuff oodies they also sell them on Amazon and have lots more designs in. The are a little more expensive but postage is free so works out similar. I have bought a couple from both sites and they appear to come from the same place. Hoping link works…

they also have some ruck and morty for the poster who was looking

buckeejit · 08/11/2023 10:12

@BlackFlyChardonnay what about a box from the perfume society? A good variety of high end scents in sample/mini sizes & also a sort of fun activity to go through & smell them all. One of my go to gifts & always been well received

Ehunt1 · 08/11/2023 10:20

Just to say shopdisney has free delivery today with code FREEDEL and it stacks with TOYTUESDAY for 25% some things.

AlbertCampion · 08/11/2023 10:21

My October Birchbox has still not arrived. Emailed and got a response apologising and saying that their final October boxes should go out next week. It's a shame, because I was considering subscribing (have also paid for a November one) but have cancelled now cos they just don't feel reliable.

AlbertCampion · 08/11/2023 10:23

Incidentally, for anyone emailing Birchbox - the emails they send out say at the bottom you can reply to them, but this is not true - it is an unmonitored mailbox. [email protected] worked for me.

Struggling to get my Christmas shopping done this year and still have loads to do. I’m looking for a big ish lego set for dd2 who already has a lot of Lego, she gets a set every year but hasn’t given me any clues as to what set she wants this year and says she wants a surprise, I have bought her sister the Lego cactus/plants set (pre order).
Also looking for any deals on Nike trainers for dd2 (size 5)? do Nike do any Black Friday deals? Or possibly foot locker?

poignant · 08/11/2023 10:42

@Lovemusic82 Thanks for mentioning the Lego cactus set. That's perfect for dd!

@Lovemusic82 Thanks for mentioning the Lego cactus set. That's perfect for dd!

Dd1 says everyone at uni has Lego plants in their rooms so I’m hoping she will like them. I am tempted to get dd2 the insect set but it seems a lot of money, it only seems to be available on the Lego website so I’m not sure wether to buy it as full price and it’s unlikely to be on offer.

@Bigmousestrikesagain I got 2 fold up Christmas gift boxes from b&m. Think there were 3 sizes. When I get home I'll try and dog it out of the stash to measure. They currently contain a box of coffee pods, 2 mini tubs of pringles, a giant jammy dodger, 4 packs of biscuits, a bag of heroes, some christmas haribo trees, a crimpit, a big bag of pigs in blanket crisps and got room for a bit more when i decide what else

Think it is this range

Bigmousestrikesagain · 08/11/2023 10:57

Thanks @Justhereforthechristmasthreads - this is what I struggle with working out the size of boxes and what I need. Unfortunately I don’t have a b and m near me!

This is a really sweet idea thank you. I know this is what makes it difficult. She has others she can ride, but this was her first real bond.
It was a friend's pony, so we're trying to get hold of the new owners for photo updates etc. We could however do this with the others hair to help her bond with those as much as her favourite. Thank you 😊

Did anyone order the play doh kitchen creations a few threads back? I am wondering how to package it that's not in an Amazon box and wondered if anyone had any bright ideas!

mousegiggles1 · 08/11/2023 11:00

Bit of a long shot, does anyone know where I can find a pink elf on the shelf please? First year doing it and my 5year old would like a pink one, ebay has one for £15 but ideally a little cheaper. Thanks x

Ilovepugs2017 · 08/11/2023 11:03

asda George are doing 20% cash back on their clothes on quid co!

Jackie994 · 08/11/2023 11:15

In need of some wireless earphones that don’t cost a bomb, any suggestions??

Vistaverde · 08/11/2023 11:18

First post on these threads and I apologise if already mentioned but John Lewis have up to 25% off selected Lego sets.

Georgieporgie29 · 08/11/2023 09:08

The soap and glory sets are half price at boots. Considering getting one for my DD12, has anyone had them before and can recommend?

Yes, I'd just check the sizes tho as they seem to have shrunk a little!

@Blessedbethefruitz
If you haven’t found one already my local Walmart have this “Young Moana” doll in stock for the equivalent of about £22.
I need to send a parcel of stuff home to my brother next week so could post you a Moana at the same time

Oh also they've gone on sale today on the Disney website too
