Thread title inspired by the 'it's time' Christmas trend as it's now time for Christmas now halloween is over!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

No bargains from me....but just thought I let people know that I used

Escentual company and I am happy with them.
I placed an order Saturday evening..7pm ish and it arrived this morning by Royal Mail.

All so well packaged , that I felt I was playing a game of pass the parcel with myself unwrapping it all 😅🤣!

I succumbed to Oodie’s discount temptation and bought a blue Pokémon Oodie for oldest adult DS as an alternative to the Primark Snuddie I got him last year. Quite pleased with it for just under £40, but a bit annoyed with myself for falling for their marketing ploy!

I wanted the black Pikachu one for myself, but already have an embarrassing number of hooded blankets, including a genuine Oodie in pink from fivepoundstuff.

@Ilovepugs2017 - mine had the label mostly cut out but it could be read. It was in a clear plastic bag. I think looking at the pictures helps to narrow it down, but it’s luck of the draw whether you get an Oodie or an alternative such as a Kuddly.

Genuine Oodies are much heavier and bigger than the ‘dupes’. Some people dislike them for being ‘too heavy’. I love mine, but I am constantly knocking things over with the huge sleeves!

Hi guys, don't suppose anyone has seen the pizza set knocking about in any Home Bargains stores have they? Been to so many around us and unfortunately not come across it. If anyone has seen it would they be willing to post it out? Of course I'd cover costs!

my DH gets really cold hands and I’m looking for a decent pair of gloves. Does anybody have any recommendations please ( and ideally a deal!!) thanks!

CanaHouse · 08/11/2023 06:38

@Blessedbethefruitz
If you haven’t found one already my local Walmart have this “Young Moana” doll in stock for the equivalent of about £22.
I need to send a parcel of stuff home to my brother next week so could post you a Moana at the same time

although don’t do what I did and ordered two for DC before realising they are for dogs and have a squeaker inside! Order cancelled! 😂

Merrow · 08/11/2023 07:18

Do any of Oodie alternatives come in a maternity version? I'm constantly cold and (what feels like) constantly breastfeeding! I'd have loved the space maternity Oodie but it's sold out and the other styles I find a bit depressing.

I'm popping into my local home bargains today so happy to keep an eye out for you if they have one

Blessedbethefruitz · 08/11/2023 07:52

@CanaHouse That's very kind of you - how much do you think postage would be (assuming you're not UK with Walmart!)?

Bigmousestrikesagain · 08/11/2023 07:59

Has anyone seen any decent sized gift boxes I could use for a snack selection at all? I can’t seem to find any big enough that aren’t super expensive!

fishfingersandchipsagain · 08/11/2023 08:09

Has anyone’s free Birchbox arrived?

Daisychain789 · 08/11/2023 08:14

One year my middle son requested a “Robin teddy that looks like a cushion”.

I really struggled to find a Robin shaped cushion, almost gave up and then one day went into Aldi and found a large flat/cushion type teddy…dog toy - with a squeaker - it ended up being his favourite Xmas gift!! 😂

@CanaHouse
Be careful you don't get caught with tax through UK Customs when receiving parcels from abroad. We had to pay about £20 when a family member sent us a photo book. Came as quite a shock!

Card factory does various sizes including quite big ones and is the cheapest I've ever come across. Alternatively, I sometimes keep a large box (used to use the ones printer paper came in when I worked in an office) and cover it in festive wrapping paper.

whatsinyourmouth · 08/11/2023 08:53

thank you!! ☺️

Georgieporgie29 · 08/11/2023 09:08

The soap and glory sets are half price at boots. Considering getting one for my DD12, has anyone had them before and can recommend?

redjoker · 08/11/2023 09:13

Nice little gift set, takes £4 off at checkout

Loads of question re oodies - is it worth someone starting a separate thread. I’ve bought 6 from £5 website - all oodies - £13.99 each.

I bought the wrap ones last week when the offer first started. I was hugely excited, so used them straight away. Was a bit underwhelmed to be honest. Maybe I need to practice more. Also, they don't fit in a smaller size air fryer so I'll try the grill or frying pan next time. I'd usually just do quesadillas in the frying pan anyway.
