Thread title inspired by the 'it's time' Christmas trend as it's now time for Christmas now halloween is over!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Does anyone have an actual oodie? Are they much better than the unbranded ones? I don’t want to splash out on an oodie for my daughter if the cheaper ones are as good.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 07/11/2023 14:19

Oh and update on my Wild child order - after emailing with pictures of the damaged items they refunded those and told me I didn't need to return them, posted the missing gift bags AND Refunded half my postage. Excellent service Smile

Thanks for clearing up my Milkshake brain fart moment !🤣....

I checked my Amazon account and yes I had paid £9.99 !!

I think it must have been 1/2 price so I was still getting a bargain !

I was getting muddled up with the
Method cleaning products I had bought at the same time ...which were 2.66 for 2.

Which by the way were lovely if they ever have an offer on them again !

OkyDoke · 07/11/2023 14:29

Hello all, has anyone seen any offers on Miraculous (tv show) dolls please?

They are much, much warmer so it depends really what you want it for.

I have a branded oodie and a cheaper one from Dunelm. I actually wear the Dunelm one round the house as I find the oodie too hot and claustrophobic indoors. However, the oodie is brilliant for camping or for sitting outside on a colder night.

There is no comparison if you want a really warm one. Kuddly are equally good. My kids love the oodie but I find them very warm( peri menopause).

Great cash back on TopCashback atm for anyone in the market for a new phone. Got an iPhone 13 from affordable mobiles for £25 month and cash back of £65 has already tracked.
That deal has ended ( found it on MSE) but can still get contract for £25 month with £19 payment upfront.
Network provider is three.

LilLauraloo · 07/11/2023 14:47

@ThreeRingCircus my daughter is always freezing even with a heated throw around her, so I will go for the oodie thank you 😊

@LilLauraloo I think they are way better, I also have a Snuggy but prefer my Oodie. The cheap ones are one layer of fleece, Oodie and Snuggy have the layer of fleece and then a layer of faux Sherpa inside. I think the air between the layers also adds extra insulation. The reason I prefer my Oodie over my Snuggy is because the wrists are too loose on the Oodie and fall down over my hands. I know I've seen people comment that they find the Oodie too warm and prefer the cheaper ones because of that

captainflash · 07/11/2023 15:06

@LilLauraloo agree with all others on proper Oodies! It does stop me putting the heating on and mine was great for camping this year.
There is currently a decent selection on real ones on the Oodie site for £39 each. Code SUN60OFF brings them down to just over £35 each with free postage.
I ordered 4 yesterday for Christmas presents and it cost me £142 for all delivered. They will be well received for that price

LilLauraloo · 07/11/2023 15:18

@captainflash thank you I might just order myself one too 🤫

DD (16) wants gym clothes as she's currently going in old leggings. What brands are cool and aren't going to cost me a fortune? I love the Matalan stuff but she may not!

mummyof2boys30 · 07/11/2023 15:33

Gym clothes id stick to nike. Under armour or maybe swetty betty. I wouldnt wear anything other than my nikes

WowStart · 07/11/2023 15:38

And sign up to the Members thing for Nike, they usually do some good Black Friday discounts. Their marketing this morning said “Nike Members get exclusive access to this year’s most unmissable offer”

psuedocream3 · 07/11/2023 15:45

I would say Nike if you want to be trendy but keep the price low. I'm looking for running gear, most likely Nike, so I will keep an eye out and hopefully betwene us all can find some bargains. Interestingly, Nike older kids trainers go up to a UK 6 so if you after trainers it may be worth looking at older kids if they fall into that size bracket.

Fabricwitch · 07/11/2023 15:46

I have a 45% off first + free shipping code for Green Chef if anyone wants it. I'm not sure if it's a unique code

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 07/11/2023 15:53

I’m wondering if anyone knows where I could find a talking Gordon trackmaster train that isn’t insanely expensive? They seem to be discontinued so the only ones I can find are over £30 and typically Gordon is DS’s favourite engine

Gym shark is also good and trendy. Adanola and Varley too. Nike seems to always be ‘in’ too. We have an outlet near us that does quite good stuff- tk maxx can also be good for this stuff!

IggyAce · 07/11/2023 16:18

Thanks for the Superdrug perfume offer, sent it to DH so that’s a Christmas gift for me.

Deal: Calvin Klein CKIN2U For Him Eau de Toilette https://amzn.eu/d/9qdO8rU

Thanks @redjoker Just what I deeded for DS1. I did my usual trick of adding it to a Subscribe and Save order and it went through at just over £12 so there must have been some hidden additional discount too.

I’m looking for the same, and talking James! Nightmare isn’t it because EBay sellers are asking crazy money for them.

DeathStarCanteenGal · 07/11/2023 16:31

not sure if this has been posted but Not on The High Street have 15% off a spend of £35 or more till tomorrow morning (wednesday)

For gymwear I like CRZ on Amazon, very similar to Sweaty Betty and Lululemon.

Has anyone seen cheap hot chocolate bombs? The only ones I've found so far were in Morrisons and were a weird flavour.
