Thread title inspired by the 'it's time' Christmas trend as it's now time for Christmas now halloween is over!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

Does anyone know if Debenhams ever do codes? Have a basket ready to checkout but happy to wait if codes come around fairly frequently as I'd rather get some discount!

Not very Christmassy but I’m going to gift DH a wok and frying pan want decent ones at a bargain price😂 any recommendations

@Yajebbend The best wok I ever got (going strong 10+ years) was from a Chinese supermarket - just a bog standard one sitting in a stack of identical woks, but it has a beautiful wooden handle and is the kind that you need to season rather than scrubbing it clean each time. Now it makes excellent stir fries, and I'm careful to keep it seasoned. Don't remember how much it was but it can't have been expensive as I was just a poor student 😁

Has anyone used Scholastic for books before? DS has asked for the Hunger Games books and I'd like to get all 4 in a box set and that seems to be the best price I can find!

Goshdarnitgoofy · 05/11/2023 20:50

For anyone buying the cult beauty crackers - I’ve stuck my referral code on the referral board, gives £5 off £25 spend

Yes, I’ve used them. No complaints here. It’s been a while but you used to be able to nominate your school to get an allowance to spend on books when you placed an order.

I’ve been looking as well but not found any. However they have a free delivery offer on at the minute and you can get a bit of cashback through Topcashback.

stepfordwifey · 05/11/2023 21:15

@Yajebbend
Try Scoville brand for woks and frying pans. Absolutely brilliant to clean and usually on offer at Asda or Argos.
Nothing sticks to it.

Callipygion · 05/11/2023 21:17

I’ve had a discount code for 25% off via email at Gemporia - FIREWORK - till midnight tonight. Not sure if that’s a one-off or general use code.

Terms and Conditions: Only applicable to jewellery. Discount codes not applicable to auction items (show products), items marked as sale or clearance, De Beers Code of Origin, Cavill & Co, new in and web exclusives. Offer ends on 05/11/2023 at 11:59:59 GMT.

Blessedbethefruitz · 05/11/2023 21:41

@Mytribeof3 Huge one at the works a couple of weeks ago here, I don't recall the price though.

CarrotCarrotCucumber · 05/11/2023 19:41

@Snowdropsarelovely my l’occitane code is on the referral thread. It gives 5 free minis of your choice, but there’s a minimum spend.

I've used it! Thanks, and hope you get your reward too

Scout2016 · 05/11/2023 21:49

@PathOfLeastResitance lakeland have heated ponchos, would that be easier to work in? Not sure how big it is though. They have a sale on and throws and blankets too.

I've got a small Beurer heat pad which is good, I put it on my back or sit on it but sounds like your DH needs something bigger.

WhereTheresAHill · 05/11/2023 21:55

Can anyone recommend something for a man who is late twenties and into golf (and Guinness)?! I know nothing about either! Budget up to about £30. Thank you!!

gawditswindy · 05/11/2023 22:04

DH has a surger thing for Guinness. It attaches to the top of a can and makes it more like a draught one.

@Arewesureitisntbedtime

would any of these apply for you?

This is really good but you do then need to buy the special cans of Guinness.

GoatsareGOAT · 05/11/2023 22:12

Someone asked about heated blankets - I got one of these for DH WFH & he absolutely loves it.

MarshmallowsOnToast · 05/11/2023 22:26

Early access code to 30% off everything Luna Charles

Some beautiful jewellery and a few bags/hair accessories.

It has quite a mystical theme (stars, moons, evil eye etc)

Tried to stack a new account code but didn't work. Doesn't discount sale items either.

code: VIP30

DD has requested a "huge" Stitch for Christmas to go in her bedroom. Has anyone seen one at a reasonable price or on offer anywhere please?

Smyths. I've bought one and it's enormous 😂 35 quid but definitely get your moneys worth

Blessedbethefruitz · 05/11/2023 22:34

Has anyone seen a baby moana doll please? Larger ones with soft hair, not plastic. I can't find any with passable hair on ebay, been looking for months! Short hair and obviously a baby, doesn't seem to be available new in the UK atm :(

PopcornAndGummyBears · 05/11/2023 22:38

I need a best value top-up gift for a 14 year old boy. Looking to spend around £7-£10 so really not very much, but need to add something to a gift I’ve already got.

Must be able to be posted (so nothing massive like the 850g dairy milk and no lynx etc) and if going for chocolate it must be fairly plain flavours - he’s not adventurous with food in any way.

Any ideas?

What about a electronic puzzle/ fidget ball? There’s a football shaped one on Amazon for £10? or an ASMR recorder £5.66 from the entertainer? Crimpet??
