Waitrose/M&S Vegetarian or Vegan Christmas Dinner

Does anyone have any recommendations for specific dishes, or an opinion as to which is better?
I used to use M&S years ago, but was a meat eater (and still am!) so never tried the veggie options. This year, it will be just me and DD, who is more or less vegan, and I am wondering which is the best?

Placemarking for me...

I never find Marks very good for veggie dishes but looking at the ranges I would 100% say Marks over Waitrose this year.

Thanks! I got the Waitrose catalogue today, and thought it looked good. Not seen M&S yet. Used to love their Christmas selection, but it is years since I used them and my choices were heavily meat based.

My sister has tried most offerings from the major supermarkets over the years and if you like 'fake meat', recommends Sainsbury’s as the best. Last year they did a small no Turkey crown including veggie bacon lattice on top and even a fake gammon joint! She loved being able to have a proper Xmas leftovers sandwich the next day or two.
Otherwise M&S plant kitchen range do fab veggie/vegan sides and party food bits.

If you have any specialist vegan shops, Inc restaurants and cafes, maybe worth seeing if they have anything for sale to cook at home. A restaurant near me doesn't normally do anything frozen, but Christmas is an exception, whereas one cafe adds extra Christmas things to their frozen range during Nov/Dec. So whatever I get to bring to my daughter's will be something I can't get the rest of the year, it might not even be available again, making it more of a treat

M&S do a frozen cranberry and nut thing that is lovely. Works as a stuffing for meat eaters, too, if there is only one veggie.

We have vegans. M&S is decidedly ropey this year. We’ve gone with Sainsburys for the main, pigs & stuffing and a chocolate dessert. They’re also quite good for the Nomo chocolate and things that are accidentally vegan, like Paxo (obviously leaving out the butter), Skittles and various biscuits (Oreo’s, jammy dodgers, chocolate bourbons etc). Asda is quite good for vegans as well. And Next are doing packs of three vegan hot chocolate blocks on sticks for £9.

Quite a few Lidl Christmas things are accidentally vegan - last year the basic mince pies and I think some of the Lebkuchen, maybe even the Stollen.

I really didn't like the M&S vegan selection the last couple of years. It was really disappointing
