Hello! As an auntie I am always a bit out of the loop on what the trending must haves are and previous years have always got fantastic intel from mumsnet! Previous year hits have been: Airup water bottle, those little plastic crates from primark (🤷‍♀️), hype backpack

sooo could anyone enlighten me on this years must haves?

What age my nearly 13 Dd is in to beauty at the moment so lip balms from glossier, that blinking Brazilian bum bum stuff, drunk elephant brand products.

Tik Tok viral stuff like Bperfect make up, SoL De Janero (I will have spelt that wrongly), Stanley Cup (a real one, not a dupe), Ugg slippers, Marshmallow make up sponges, color wow hair products.

Also, the Unliqo cross body bag.

Ohh I’ll be watching this post for ideas. My DD will definitely be after whatever is going viral on TikTok. There’s been mention of a white fox hoodie.

They’re 11/12! I saw that Brazilian bum bum stuff!! But that feels like such a weird weird gift for young teens?! A body cream designed to firm up cellulite?!? Aren’t we only supposed to get cellulite conscious at like 15 😅 (and really never in an ideal world!!!)

I don't think the bum bum cream is specifically for cellulite, it has a shimmer finish which I think would be the last thing you want highlighting cellulite. It has a nice fragrance though so I think that's why it's popular, the mist sprays are high on the wanted lists.

How could I have forgot Stanley cup

I can second the white fox hoodies - both my 19 yr old and my 14 year old has asked for one. Along with hoodies from goose and gander which seems popular at the moment.

None since release in the UK I’m afraid. There are dupes but I don’t think they are that good. Might be worth waiting for Black Friday.

What about a driving experience? We've done Young Driver lessons for teenage nieces and nephews and they've always gone down really well (and been requested again for future gifts...)

I often go to Urban Outfitters for young teen nephews and nieces. Hasn't failed me as a strategy yet!

According to 11yo DD, Lilo-branded items are big right now. That's Lilo as in Lilo and Stitch 🤷🏼‍♀️ So a hooded blanket, stationery etc.

chocochocolatte thanks for this tip , I might get DD one (aged 16) but are they quite bright as I am not sure if I’m brave enough to chose the right colour ! So hope I don’t make a still expensive mistake .
