Love the university thread and stockings are the best part of presents in a world where people often know what they're getting.
Would love some ideas for the grown ups too. Thanks

I like a few items rather than loads of tat that will end up in landfill. For me I’d like a fiction book, bath soak, bamboo socks, fancy nuts, chocolates. DH likes things like Star Wars socks to re-stock his supply of them, his fave chocolates, book, trivia quiz card pack.

WhoStoleYourHighHorse · 28/10/2023 18:34

@NotMeekNotObedient - the Rolson looks perfect, thanks for that. @Seawaver, can you link to the card trivia games - not sure what it is but sounds interesting!

I always get DH a selection of unusual sweet treats, nice new socks, toiletries and a small card game.

My mum still does a stocking for my sister and I and we get similar to the above and she also replaces our expensive skin care and make up products.

I do all the stockings in our house. This year mine will have the following:

Fancy bath stuff, made with honey.
A Christmas murder mystery book
Hand cream
Nail polish
Face mask
Sweets of some sort
Stud earrings

Dh's will be more edible, chutneys, crackers, pork scratching, walnut whips etc. Plus a Headtorch, socks, pants and a top trumps deck.

My mum will be getting shower steamers, a Christmas murder mystery, hand cream, nail polish, violet creams and marzipan chocolates. I'll probably put an audio book in too and she always gets some sort of trivia game to play in the car with our kids.

@WhoStoleYourHighHorse we have a few trivia card packs from Cheatwell Games. They do ones like Film & TV, general knowledge, music, sport, decade ones like 60s, 80s, 90s, etc. We also have a Star Wars quiz park from a different maker.
