Non alcoholic festive drinks for Christmas

Going to be pregnant over Christmas and I've just realised Baileys and Mulled Wine aren't going to be options for festive drinks!

Any recommendations for non alcoholic drinks that still feel festive / Christmassy? I find lots of soft drinks don't quite hit the same spot and are too sweet!

Thomson & Scott Noughty Sparkling Alcohol Free (very cold) in a flute is lovely! You can find it in Waitrose 🥂

There are some good herbal tea which are a good replacement for mulled wine.

Igglepiggleandhisboat · 23/10/2023 21:00

I have previously done mulled apple juice which is nice

Hibernatalie · 23/10/2023 21:01

Was going to suggest the same. You can get alcohol free mulled wine, but i think i'd just explore more naturally alcohol free drinks - elderflower presse & mineral water for example or google mock tails . Alcohol free friends of ours made a lovely drink of pineapple juice, ginger ale, mint and ice - i often make that for myself as i really enjoyed it

Ooh nice, how does this compare to nosecco etc? Haven't been wowed by any I've tried so far but will add this to the list to try!

Appletiser and ginger ale is lovely

mumtotwox · 23/10/2023 22:27

@cauliflowershoes I was the same and very hmmm about trying this but it is much nicer than Nosecco. I think if you're looking for something to cheers with then the Thomson bottle is perfect!

mumtotwox · 23/10/2023 22:29

@cauliflowershoes A pretty bottle also!

Schwartz do "tea bags" for mulled wine, that can just as easily be added to hot apple juice. It might taste nicer with a bit of cranberry for a less-sweet version.

GunboatDiplomacy · 23/10/2023 22:35

Norfolk Punch is nice if a health food store near you stocks it. Mulled apple juice is a good shout.

Bloody Mary with lots of Worcester and Tabasco? You don't notice the lack of vodka.
Chilled soda water mixed with a dash of Robinson's Lime and Mint cordial and Monin strawberry syrup is really nice.
The best non- alcoholic fizz I've tried is the Freixinet version. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/295188435

Lidl do a sparkling cranberry and orange presse in their deluxe range. It’s lovely chilled and served in a champagne glass.

bluesatin · 23/10/2023 23:09

Also the Rochester drinks make a good liqueur/port substitute

Martini vibrante with orange peel

NellyTimes · 23/10/2023 23:34

Raspberry and rhubarb fever tree tonic with ice, fruit and a cocktail umbrella.

All brilliant ideas - and as someone who never drinks alcohol, there are some new things for me to try here. Thank you to the OP!

I really like the cans of San pelligrino pomegranate and orange. Light, sparkly, not too sweet and a really pretty colour in the glass. £8 for 12 cans at the moment in Ocado but often available on other deals.

Lidl do a really good non-alcoholic mulled punch.
my favourite winter soft drink is definitely old Jamaican ginger beer.
morrisons do some really nice grown up soft drinks - in particular the sparkling apple and elderflower presse.

Lavenderosa · 24/10/2023 21:43

Real Royal Flush Kombucha is my favourite non-alcoholic fizz but I know some people hate it! Maybe try a bottle from Waitrose?
