Looking for some Christmas gifts for my team, only 2 people, want something nice but reasonable as will be coming out of my own pocket but want to show appreciation for all their hard work this year budget prob £15-£20 maybe a hamper or something but don’t know if I will find one in that budget - any suggestions gratefully received 💛

PlanBea · 26/10/2023 10:26

@kkr168 ah you're right, definitely not what they said beforehand. Maybe they're watching us all panicking about the RC trains and thought "ah, those mumsnetters will pay full price!"

We have the Trackmaster for our 2 year old and he can't really put it together, it's in a box at the moment till he gets older as he does the brio style stuff himself. DH still likes brio over Trackmaster so it might be in the box for another 30+ years 😂

I 'won' one.of the £10 vouchers on my m and s app. Checked earlier this week and still.had 5 days left so was planning to go today. Logged on just now (luckily before driving all the way there) and it has gone, though the other vouchers with the same number of days on showing as 3 days left to use. So annoying. Must have made an error somehow.

Anyway got all my fruit for my Christmas cake with the morrisons voucher. Can't win them all!

I think WELCOME15 gives 15% off if you spend over £50 but it’s for new customers only so you may need to set up a new account.

Thegoldgrind · 26/10/2023 11:06

Fossil have an extra 40% off Sale & Outlet items with code EXTRA40. Bought a purse for £28.20 down from £95 to go with the bargain bag I bought last month, also for me 🤣🙈

Darkbutstarrynight · 26/10/2023 11:12

Boots have an offer online for card holders for 4 items from the Christmas 3 for 2 range, for the price of 2. Some items excluded and think it was only on 10am - 4pm

I was the recipient of a few personal thank you gifts at work, and the one I liked the most was a £20 gift card for M&S!
There have been a couple of posts on Mumsnet where people have asked for recommendations on what to buy with theirs, they were excited about getting food treats etc. so I can't be the only one! Hampers are risky unless you actually know for a fact what they like eg they love chocolate, or nice coffee...

Amimaimia · 26/10/2023 11:45

@evtheria I had an M&S gift voucher as a new baby gift and I tell everyone it was such a fab idea - was told to buy some baby clothes, a couple of ready meals or a treat for myself whichever I needed. Ended up buying some baby bits in the sale and an Indian meal for two and felt very pleased with myself!

Maybe @MamaK19 you could add a little chocolate with it if you want to feel like more of a gift - can be something fancy (but small) or even just a chocolate lollipop/gold coins. A heartfelt card with your genuine thanks would be very gratefully received I’m sure.

Raindancer411 · 26/10/2023 12:31

I have just over £100 of boots points and was thinking of a tonie for my girl. Can anyone remember what the offer boots did on it was last year?

paintyhands · 26/10/2023 12:35

I've just seen a small, 1.8 litre Crockpot on Amazon for £14.95. I used the £4 pickup voucher to bring the price down to £10.95 which I think is great. Looks like the usual price rather than a discount, but thought I’d share in case anyone is looking for over winter or as a gift.

AWholeNewWorld11 · 26/10/2023 12:36

Does anyone please have a Nike code? I want to get my son some trainers for Christmas. Thank you in advance 🙂

Martinisarebetterdirty · 26/10/2023 12:38

Just to say that I bought this 3 weeks ago and I'm absolutely loving it!

ilisten2theradio · 26/10/2023 12:47

@Yajebbend I don’t have girls but have bought these Melissa and Doug beads for some 6 year old birthday parties and they have been well received. They have several different sets.

Also these ATM type money boxes were very popular with my boys and their friends (boys and girls) and quite a few of my friends bought them after playing with ours. There are loads of different ones to choose from.

Thanks for the ATM money box recommendation, my 9 year old would love this!!!

Delahot · 26/10/2023 12:57

need to buy a slow cooker (we are doing practical gifts this year!) for a family of 5. Can anyone recommend a decent one. Don’t mind if it’s a bit spendy but an offer would be better obviously! 😊

AWholeNewWorld11 · 26/10/2023 12:58

If still available can I have it please? Thank you! Xx

AWholeNewWorld11 · 26/10/2023 12:59

Sorry that was to @Ehunt1

Ehunt1 · 26/10/2023 13:08

@AWholeNewWorld11 I’ve pm’d you
