Hey, does anyone have any ideas of what to get a 7 year old and 6 year old? My kids are older and I have no idea. About £20 each. Both girls?

I would add aquabeads, Diablo, slime kit, Maileg mice, bath bomb kit. One of my dd loves drawing and there are some lovely drawing/painting sets for under £20 at craftyarts

A special request please!

Has anyone seen any amazing deals on the Little Dutch baby doll sets with all the accessories? I’m struggling to find much under £35 including delivery which seems a bit steep.

Failing that, are there any similar beautiful soft / plush baby dolls that perhaps are a bit cheaper?

I am also looking so will let you know, smallkins is the cheapest I think with code smallkins?

You may already be sorted but my 6 year old loges Pixobitz. They have a great set on entertainer that they regularly reduce to £8.99 from around £30. We've bought it for several presents as well.

If you download the app you get 30% off your first order but not sure what the t and c s are

HollyGennero · 26/10/2023 08:50

@Plumful Unfortunately the Argos codes are single use but if you sign up to their email marketing they should start sending them to you, I think the first one came straight away when I did it!

My dd is 15 and similar. What's the budget?

Slater22 · 26/10/2023 08:54

Around £20

Martinisarebetterdirty · 26/10/2023 08:58

@Slater22 psychic sisters brand do lovely sets of crystals, Crystal focus points, aura sprays and incense holders. Often online at TK Maxx, beautifully packaged. Me, MIL and DDs all love them (not 16 yet but tweenagers) so I think they cross generations with appeal.

This is a great item , would recommend it

Qwerty21 · 26/10/2023 09:03

I went to Lidl about 20 mins after opening. They had lots of wooden toys, completely opposite situation to when I went to Aldi last week. Lot's of RC trains left. I managed to get 2. I did get the last wooden ball run. They had a great looking domino one too. I think there were a few bits not in the leaflet, or at least that I don't recall seeing, such as sensory blocks and doctor bags.

Cubic · 26/10/2023 09:13

White stuff £25 off £100 full price items. Use once I think.

We got our lidl trains this morning too, but they only had passenger trains, not the funkier looking steam trains, and only 1 white one left.

I also may be the only one daft enough to have thought that they would be, but the rc trains are plastic not wood. (I did think there would be an element that was plastic to allow for the RC part, but I thought the main body would be wooden). Just a heads up for any other dafties like me lol

Yes, they are for the wooden track train sets.

The Brio, IKEA and other battery powered trains (Bigjigs?) or these sets, are also plastic or mostly plastic. A couple may have a base of wood, but plastic around the outside, like a chassis.

John Lewis do a battery operated train which is mostly wooden, if that is what you are looking for (£12.99)

PlanBea · 26/10/2023 10:07

I sent DH for a train last night, and there were still plenty this morning near us. They were a bit hidden though, not immediately obvious! I'm not sure what I did wrong but my Lidl discount voucher didn't apply, did I need to tell the cashier? I activated it in the account. I got a £30 train set and a birthday cake this morning so it would have been a nice additional discount. I didn't realise until I looked at my receipt after.

Babynumberthreeee · 26/10/2023 10:19

@kkr168 the trains are for the brio track so i don't think they're compatible as our trackmaster stuff never fitted in the brio railway

kkr168 · 26/10/2023 10:20

@PlanBea the only voucher on my account was for montessori wooden toys, so wouldn't work on the trains.
Quite annoyed because I'm sure the preview just said 20% off wooden toys!

I spent a small fortune on a large train track set, 2 x RC trains, regular train, cars, etc as my son is train mad, tested the train on his thomas trackmaster set & it works so contemplating returning the train track set now. Seems a waste to have 2 non compatible sets, or do I sell the trackmaster bits 🤔 he's 3 in December & does find the trackmaster hard to put together by himself.
