Thank you to the poster who mentioned Sainsbury's near them had been toy restocking. Decided to risk a drive to my nearest one on the off chance my nearest still had stuff too. I'd not been able to get there until today and wasn't going to bother thinking there'd be nothing left.

Got some nice bits for ds2 and some birthday party gifts as he's two schoolfriends birthdays to attend next week. A slime set and a t-racers set which will make lovely birthday gifts.

@Stripedfluffysocks - probably over-budget, but you might want to get a bit of Haribo and/or some kinnertons chocolate lollipops for any kids with peanut/nut allergies.

My oldest DS was always left out of sweetie gifts because no one ever catered for his allergies.

Has anyone seen a small zip up rainbow purse in the shops? Accessorise had one in stock for ages but don't any more. It's for a six year old who rarely carries cash so something small! TIA!

It was a £15 hand held vacuum on Amazon. I was sceptical but read the reviews and they were all really positive. It’s got great suction but for the price I don’t know how long that’ll last. It’s £21.24 at the moment. I’m not sure how to link but the name of it is:

I saw the books by Jenny Colgan described as "comfort food" on a chat. I've not read any but apparently they are set in Edinburgh. I've ordered one as a gift called The Christmas Bookshop. £2.50 from.Amazon and should be delivered in December.

DD12 has just mentioned that she might quite like some uggs for Christmas. Really don’t fancy paying those prices though, anyone know of any cheaper alternatives that may be acceptable to an almost teenager please?

12 year old DD had mentioned this book after seeing it in the school library. It it suitable for her age or too old do you think?

I wonder if the sainsburys prices vary as someone else posted the puppys home at £27. I'd be happy to pay £20. Thinking I might nip down a different one in a bit, see what they have.
