My twins are 6 and whilst one of them is super easy to buy for - Barbie, LOL etc. the other just doesn't 'want' anything!

She loves crafts and gas writing but has loads of stuff like that. She has Cerebral Palsy and uses sticks so can't use anything like roller skates, 'normal ' bike etc. when I ask her she just says I don't really want anything... v sweet but not helpful on Christmas morning! Any ideas??

One year when my kids didn't need any 'stuff' I made them a booklet of vouchers for experiences. Mostly smallish stuff like vouchers for a pizza hut meal, an experience day at a local falconry centre, a voucher for my daughter to get her nails done. That kind of thing. Unfortunately, it was the Xmas before COVID so we never used a lot of them but on xmas morning it went down well.

What about this trolley (or similar) made into a craft and activity trolley?
As a child my favourite present one year was a John Menzies carrier bag filled with paper, card, glue, sellotape, pens and glitter. Looking back I can now see it was probably a last minute dash that wasn’t ever wrapped- bought by a childless couple who grabbed a few bits and left it in the bag - but honestly I was in heaven!

You could get some little bead type craft sets or some Fimo sets plus nice pens, paint markers and mini canvasses etc.

RÅSKOG white, Trolley, 35x45x78 cm - IKEA

RÅSKOG white, Trolley, 35x45x78 cm. This trolley fits in the smallest of spaces and can be moved to wherever you need it. Use it as extra storage for all your kitchen utensils, desk accessories or for gloves, keys and mobile phones.

Aquabeads, tie dye kits, diamond craft kits? Sewing or knitting sets? Magna tiles are great if you don't have them. There are a lot of nice fairy gardens about now, or other growing things. Jigsaws? Science kits (Galt or similar).

Thinking about my own 6 year old!

If not already mentioned a Yoto or similar? My daughter loves her Toni box.

Is there any way to consider a disability bike?

This organisation lends out bikes and has a lot of options. They can find something to suit.

Starter sewing machine if she's crafty?

MooMa83 · 21/10/2023 11:39

Random thought but what about a watch? Hot water bottle, nice snuggly blanket? Bath bombs (you can get kits to make yourself). Is she into gemstones- a gemstone kit? Or something electronic/digital....my 6 year old wants one of these: https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/fashion-and-dolls/interactive-pets/bitzee-interactive-digital-pet/p/221918

Yoto. I wasn't sure if my 7 year old was too old but it is much loved and taken everywhere. I bought the mini.
