A cogs / levers / tubes toy for 8 year old

My 8 year old keeps talking about how much he’d like a toy with cogs, levers and tubes (to run balls down)…does anything age-appropriate exist?!

He already has marble runs and Gravitrax, which are pretty similar I guess, but he’s obviously after something else 🤦‍♀️😂

No tunnels but maybe Turing Tumble? It's a wee bit on the older side but my 8 enjoys it hugely with her older siblings.

One of the K'nex sets might fit the bill.
