Fillers for table favour boxes

I've never done table favours at home but we have been invited to a traditional Christmas meal which will be between Christmas and Nee Year for a combination of reasons none of us are having Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day. We're all taking a contribution to food, drink, and 'other stuff' we've been allocated table favours for our 'other stuff' item.

A friend has kindly given me some little boxes in the shape of houses which she bought last year but never used. I've put them in the loft now so can't measure them but I'd say about 3 inches wide and 4 inches high?

Wondering what to put in them? I was thinking a scratch card, a couple of Ferrero Rocher , and 'something else'.

Would appreciate suggestions for the 'something else'. I don't want to put in mini bottles of spirits/Baileys as we will have a well stocked 'bar' so doesn't make sense. We will also be having crackers, so don't want to duplicate typical cracker fillers. Want to something useful / consumable to avoid waste.
I did think about mini table quiz packs which we had at a wedding once but as DH pointed out there will be 10 of us and it would take an age to use them and I suspect they wouldn't be used if they were taken home.

In addition, one guest doesn't eat chocolate of any description so need to think of an alternative for them. They are also GF.

All adults, no children.

Thank you

Do you have a photo of something all the guests have in common? Get it made into a jigsaw puzzle, and divide up the pieces between the boxes. Then you have your after dinner game ready to go. We did this last year, it was a real hit with our crowd.

I think what you’ve got already is plenty, actually. Some sort of festive party popper?

Normcore · 15/10/2023 19:22

Poundland, buy random stuff , my DH got windscreen wipes for his table present and quite liked them

Fortune cookie?

knitandnatter · 15/10/2023 19:42

Could you buy some wind up snowmen and race them?

OMGitsnotgood · 15/10/2023 20:04

Lots of great ideas thank you.

Any thoughts about something to replace Ferrero Rocher that isn't chocolate and is gluten free please?

Xmas haribo??

Parker231 · 15/10/2023 20:08

Chocolates or sweets. Don’t put plastic rubbish in - end up in the bin like children’s party bags.

Seed bombs

OMGitsnotgood · 15/10/2023 21:08

Love the seed bomb idea. Would be great for a some of the guests but not a couple who don't have gardens. But that's ok, I'd been imagining putting the same additional item(s) in each one but of course I could vary them.

Scottish tablet is ideal and gluten free.

A few years ago DD and I made personalised Christmas decorations using air dry clay and used them as table favours/name places. They were well received and used in the trees since.

Depending on budget we have done:
Mini candles (winter white company £7 each now but we did the heart ones working out £5 each)
Keyrings
Profanity spoons (Etsy)
Lip balm

Hot chocolate stirrer or a candy cane

Normcore · 15/10/2023 23:48

crumbly fudge for the GF non chocolate eater

bumhug · 16/10/2023 00:07

Bath bomb/shower steamer
Candle
Eye mask
Gloves
Hot chocolate stirrers/ bombs
