Has anyone bought one of those giant dolls?

I've seen some huge Disney /Barbie dolls (80cm) and I think that my DD would love the Elsa one, but I wanted to know if anyone bought one for their DC and if they play with it? As much as I think DD will love it, they're expensive so I want to make sure if they're worth it first Smile

My DD is also after one of the big Elsa's. They're so expensive I'm really trying to guide her towards other things but to no avail 😫

The Barbie is currently on sale in smyths for £30 and they have a code for £6 0ff over £50 spend or £12 off over £100. I looked at these dolls but ended up getting a slightly smaller designa friend doll in the sale from argos for £12, my little one is only 3 so will love it.

I bought the huge Anna and Elsa huge dolls for DD a few years back - IIRC I bought them from Costco online fairly cheap. They had a fantastic wow factor when she opened them as they were as big as her, but she didn’t really play with them that much and we ended up selling them on a year or so later.

The quality of them was fantastic and the looked brilliant, it might just be that DD wasn’t really a doll person!

My niece had life size dolls before, but because their arms and legs did not bend at the elbows/knees she didn't play with them much at all as trying to sit them on chairs etc was awkward and she got very frustrated with them. While they do look great, imo they have limited play value.
