@superstar84 it’s stories like yours that make this thread so great. Just one word of warning, we had a similar predicament to yours 20 years ago. Found an identical bear but my son said it didn’t smell the same. All these years on, the bear is still called an imposter.

Hope Windy 2 is a success.

We also had a similar situation with a lost cherished toy, luckily an easier-to-get-hold-of Jelly Cat rabbit. But the nose was the wrong colour! So we had to make up a convoluted story about Rabbit going off to help Santa and receiving a pink nose as a thank you 😬😂

PumpkinSpicedTea · 12/10/2023 20:30

Aww I think if @superstar84 stores it amongst dds clothes or fresh washing for a while it'll smell like normal/home.

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 12/10/2023 20:36

@NaturalBlondeYeahRight yes I agree. 20% however the discount is applied plus cashback is great!

Athlebad · 12/10/2023 20:40

VERY have up to 30% off toys today, plus Top cashback have 15% back on toys at Very, plus purchases are eligible for TopCashBack's £3 extra if you sign up for the offer today.

I'm wondering is the TopCashBack discount likely to track properly if I also take up Very's 20% off for new credit customers offer? Anyone done this before?

Anyway, if you've got toys to buy, this is well worth a look. Think it's only today...

Athlebad · 12/10/2023 20:48

Ah, I think I've just answered my own question! The Very 20% off for new credit customers says it can't be used in conjunction with other offers. So it'll be either Top Cashback's deal OR that one.

Still good through just the TopCashBack deal though. One of the Lego sets I want is on sale with Very at the same price as it was in the Prime sale yesterday and the TCB discount and bonus will be on top...

Thank you for this! I have been waiting for a discount on some Lego Architecture that wasn't included in the Prime Day deals 🥳

Someone posted a while ago about great games in home bargains and my local store had them! Got both blockbuster games, who wants to be a millionaire card, mtv and big potato game. Also had the Obama llama one which looks great but didn't get it as no one to gift to. Huge thank you to whoever posted!

Gilead · 12/10/2023 21:18

@Mumguilt23
Same happened here. Emailed my bank via their app and the bank refunded me.

I won’t be ordering from them again, it seems like a scam to me.

Mumguilt23 · 12/10/2023 21:21

@Gilead ah I'm sorry it happened to you too! So glad it got refunded! Mine is still in pending so the bank couldn't do anything just yet I've got to wait until it gets taken out properly!

Love this thread otherwise.

Has anyone seen the ok beauty boxes? The first one is usually half price I think then you can cancel! X

Mysteriousflo · 12/10/2023 21:40

For anyone considering getting the Lego gabbys dollhouse - it’s £52 in the Smyths sale and then you also get the £6 off for spending more than £50 at the moment. So £46 rather than the standard £70.
Best price I’ve seen it for :)

Does anyone have more than one Ticket To Ride? We already have Europe but wondering whether to get London as well!

We have Europe, Nordic, Italy/Japan, and London. London feels quite different to Europe because it's so much quicker - 17 buses compared to 45 trains. It means we play it more frequently but it's less satisfying and is more luck based. My 5 year old prefers London and can win with the right tickets, but is a long way off winning at Europe though she can play it and enjoys it. Europe is still the best and I would heartily recommend the 1912 ticket expansion for variety (we played it so much that we memorised the original deck...!).

Sophie Allport has some deals on. Lovely stuff, I bought a backpack for my DD last year.

masterofnone · 13/10/2023 07:48

Sorry if it’s already been shared, but just seen that Oodie have a sale on (up to 40% off).

gawditswindy · 13/10/2023 07:59

Anyone got a Hedwig purse pal? They're pricey for what they are but I think DD might like it. The last thing I bought that said it had '70 separate interactions' we could only really find 3!

Holidayqueen1 · 13/10/2023 08:38

£15 off selected fragrances at Boots today

friskybivalves · 13/10/2023 08:45

Revolution (skincare and nice make-up) has a promocode LUCKY until midnight tonight. It says it gives different discounts...I got £3.60 off an £18 pot of the supersize Miracle cream (fab Tilbury Magic Cream dupe...) so effectively free P&P. Worth a go mebbe?

Claramay78 · 13/10/2023 09:23

Re sewing machines, I got a mine from Aldi a few years ago, a Singer one. It's brilliant. Think it was around £80 then. My children have used it too (tweens and teens) I think both Aldi and Lidl have had sewing machines in the middle isle, but can't remember when.

evtheria · 13/10/2023 10:23

NeedMoreTea · 13/10/2023 10:46

DC wants a radio controlled car. Likes both the Batman all terrain Batmobile and the Monster Jam megalodon. They're both on offer at the moment. Can anyone with experience of rc cars tell me if there is much difference between them (obv apart from the car design/shape)?
I know nothing about rc cars so any help would be great!

17caterpillars1mouse · 13/10/2023 10:48

Not sure if it's already been mentioned but free moonpug card today with code FRIDAY13TH. You do have to pay postage of £1.25 but handy if you usually buy personalised cards. I've used it for my nephews birthday card but they have a large selection of Christmas cards on the website too.

17caterpillars1mouse · 13/10/2023 11:04

@Mrscouldron I second the recommendation of the Roald Ðahl colour editions, my dd got the Charlie and the Chocolate factory one for her birthday and it is lovely. She has asked for more of them for Xmas but I havent found any on deal so far other than tk max had the witches colour edition in store but the spine ŵas badly ripped the I left it. Might be worth a look in your local one though. I couldn't find them on the tk maxx website
