I use Books2Door.

The Works is also good for toddlers.

Have you tried facebook market place? I've had a lot of luck finding bundles for sale at very cheap prices and sometimes free. Other than that local charity shops often have offers such as 3/5/10 books for £1

Needmorelego · 04/10/2023 08:16

The Works is good for older children's books too. They have box sets at a good price.

Charity shops and book exchanges. I used to tell my children that any scribbles or names in books were the naughty elves.

LolaSmiles · 04/10/2023 08:18

The Works is good for younger children if you're not looking for specific titles and they sometimes have nice sets for older children too.

I find it hit and miss what's in but call in a couple of times a month to have a look.

B&M- picked up a couple of Peppa Pig Christmas books for 1.50 this week- bargain!

The works for 10 for £10

Charity shops. We have a massive collection of books- half are from charity shops.

We've stopped buying books as DSD has loads and instead I take her to the library once a month. That way we can change up the stories and we aren't left with a load of books she's out grown. It also teaches her her looking after things she's borrowing.

Not sure if you have one local to you but ours has a massive kids section with lots of toddler age books.

Flubadubba · 04/10/2023 08:27

Amazon usually have 2 for £7 on a variety of books that don't normally go into other offers (Julia Donaldson etc).

World of Books is worth a look.

Books for bugs is normally pretty good too.

Home Bargains (a larger branch) had lots of baby/toddler books last week. I went in to buy exactly this as a gift, someone else had mentioned it.

Plenty of touch and feel books, picture books most hardback all at good prices.

The works for 10 for £10

Some really excellent books available on this offer, including some classics. Bought books for my grandson to grow into as most are toddler / pre school appropriate rather than young baby books.

Depending where you live, 66 Books in Hemel Hempstead is great.

Another vote for the Works. They do pre selected bundles of ten books for £10 or you can select your own from quite a big list. They’ve all got rrp prices of around £6-7 and have some lovely stories.

I also buy from Books and Pieces (delivery is quite slow but they have lots of really good stuff). They do three books for £10 which are a bit more substantial than the Works. They also do indestructible books, which are the best books I have ever seen for children. They’re quite soft, not fabric but a plastic that feels quite papery. You can take them in the bath, you can chew them, you can screw them up, you can put them in the washing machine and they cannot be torn, even by adults. The pages are as thin as paper so it gets little hands used to turning pages without ripping them. Can’t recommend them enough.

Aldi have some activity and sticker book sets in at the moment in a little case £3 or £4.
