I have electric front gates. I’ve included a picture below from Google showing a similar style of gate and the item I’m looking for is crudely drawn on (and larger than I’m envisioning!)

Basically, I want to add a large wreath to the gate for Christmas, but one that’s split in two across the diameter so that there’s half on each side of the gate, creating a full circle when closed.

Has anyone seen something similar anywhere and can you post a link if so, please?

Get a florist or one of those events companies to make you one.

  1. Get a wreath
  2. cut in half

I tried a florist before but they said no as they didn’t have the right base.

Doesn’t work as when you snip the wreath, the wire/frame part gets too damaged to hold the garland items on. I tried.

I’ve searched ‘double gate split wreath’ the best I can come up with in the U.K. is this.

Oooh, thank you. That’s one that never came up for me.

@BlueLiquid
Course it works. Get one that hasn't got a thin wire

Buy a giant wreath frame. Cut it in half and reinforce with additional wire. Then add moss and add holly, ivy, Xmas tree sprigs and rosemary, any other bits you want. I make a wreath every Xmas to go on my Mum's grave and it's not hard to do. Use chunks of oasis among the moss to hold your holly in place.

If you go on the Poncetastic thread someone has just commented to show one they made.
