In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

I stand corrected @LampsAndWatches I thought DH had tried the hairdryer but he hadn't 🫣

It's mostly off now thank you! Still a bit ripped but I don't suppose DS will notice 😃

WidowedMum · 04/10/2023 12:50

@Blessedbethefruitz they do sell them ready made

Mario boxes

Was thinking you could even try a string of lights inside after so they get reused…

WidowedMum · 04/10/2023 12:53

The ever popular vtech ice cream cart is £34.99 today on Amazon and Smyths

evtheria · 04/10/2023 13:00

@Blessedbethefruitz Not sure how large the figures are but H&M have some on site (see pics). These have loops to hang 'wrapped' surprises, very pretty but could be a faff if you just wanted something you can simply pop the toy into.
They used to sell ones with simple pockets, but you can find all manner of those types on eBay, vinted, etc, usually in cotton or felt. IKEA usually does these as well.

Re: DIY, to save you buying a calendar when you've got the wood one, I did one year's advent using toilet roll tubes. I left mine plain brown because I dangled them off a large gnarly stick wrapped in ivy, ribbons and fairy lights, but they can look fun with festive paint etc.

I thought the first photo said well hung advent calendar, I had to look twice…

@psuedocream3 I bought my DD a unicorn hobby horse from the works today which was on 2 for £12 or £7 on it's own. Morrisions have the unicorn playmobile set on offer (think amazon price matched it)

Few craft offers on argos too. @psuedocream3 maybe one for your unicorn loving DD.

@Irritatedmum 👀 that one's in an entirely different thread...

Sallylovesdaisy · 04/10/2023 14:33

Thanks @WidowedMum that lamp is perfect for my Grandson

Dee1224 · 04/10/2023 14:33

My Valentte order came today: 10 small wax melts, (one pair was ‘odd’ so I don’t know the smell of one item), plus the cracked heel sample and mini hand wash in a little bag. Rather than pay £3.98 p&p, I added a ‘half price’ diffuser instead, (which then gave me free postage). Total cost to me was £9.

Sadly I have just given away my only burner as I had never used it! I will therefore use the melts as a Xmas present.

Thanks so much to those who recommended this offer.

Dee1224 · 04/10/2023 14:36

I will also be off to Oliver Bonas tomorrow to collect my diffuser and reeds, (total cost to me £1.50!) Sadly the burners had sold out before I jumped on the offer!

ChristmasCrumpet · 04/10/2023 14:44

Hiya, I'm after the curlimals Blue the Badger and Bella Bear flutterby curlimal, if anyone knows the best way to get them reduced price please?

We have a unicorn obsessed five year old, seems to be the age for it!

Has anyone seen any good bargains on any unicorn toys?

Her request was 100 unicorns, but I think that might be a stretch this Christmas, But anything that is lovely and unicorn-y would be fantastic.

This might get you close to your 100 unicorn target 😂

My folks have ordered this spidey toy for my 3.5 year old...it's pretty big and worth £23 I'd say...RRP £85, selling in Argos for £42.50

I'm late to the party this year! I have one more DC birthday this month and I need to be done by November so a busy month ahead!!

Has anyone seen any good bargains for teen skin care? She doesn't really need any but desperately wants some so trying to find something sesnstive for her skin and a good price in case it's wasted!

This brand was recommended by a fellow MNetter and has some great offers available, see link below for main offer. I also added another offer for a trio of soap bars & some hydrating mist to bulk the toiletry bag.

Has anyone seen any bargainous Mario gifts please? Not too expensive as I don't know the child, (son has been invited to his birthday party, the child is new to the school).

Stompythedinosaur · 04/10/2023 15:44

I've just got this cheap alternative go pro type camera for my dds on the Amazon lightning deal. £39.99 seems a good price!

@RainbowZebraWarrior many thanks for looking , yes it’s definitely orange and cinnamon based , but whenever I try to mix my own oils they are definitely lacking “something” that pollyfields blend has . I will have a look at the one you’ve suggested though , thank you .

I’ve been using the facial oil from the much-discussed bag and two items bargain earlier in these threads, it’s so lovely for my skin!
