Probably the first time I've been early in my life.

Because I'm slow I actually googled this to find out what I was missing out on.
I wondered if it was some kind of fancy Christmas food shop that makes the MN fave waitrose look gasps like the asda.

I made some sloe gin last year and have it bottled in a dark cupboard. It should be ready for this Christmas but it has developed a strange milky layer on its surface. 😞

I've been waiting for this too! I'm going out this afternoon to forage some twigs for a large Christmas arch thing around our door. I need loads so I'm starting very early. I'm aiming for the most poncetastic Christmas EVER this year as it's our first one in our house (which unfortunately burned down shortly after we moved in. Last year we were in a miserable rented house whilst we re built and I couldn't be bothered, but we are back home now so I'm going all out!).

@vivajen has started the last few. Tomorrow is the key date!

Lol I have been avoiding Mumsnet for the last few months in an attempt to digitally detox but the alert from @NoWordForFluffy (and the fact I'm currently making my mincemeat) has lured me back for Christmas Poncery - the 2023 thread has begun 🎄

@NoWordForFluffy ah Thankyou-we were all fine thankfully. We lost most of our belongings and furniture but at least all of us and the Dogs and Cat were unscathed.
