I have no idea what to get her! She wants some crocs, headphones and a ballerina barbie and that’s all she has asked for! What are you buying your girls that age?

A doll from the Barbie movie and the movie remote control car (argos have an almost identical one for £40 instead of the £80) are top od dgds list.
Shes getting from her parents Roller skates, art supplies trolley, Aphmau meemeows, Miniverse, books, slime kit, Barbie switch game. I know this because it's in safe keeping in our spare bedroom.
We've bought her tickets to Harry Potter studio in London and a few harry potter bits.
For her 7th birthday this summer she loves and uses daily kids owl echo dot and alexa controlled led strip lights, bookeez, converse high tops and Anything Disney Stitch related.

My DD7 is getting a Barbie Dream Campervan and a reborn doll. Also some art and craft supplies, Squishmallow, onesie, books, maybe an Our Generation doll, the new tamagotchi things.

Bubbleandsqueak22 · 23/09/2023 06:11

Dd has asked for a mermaid tail blanket, Lite Brite, tamagotchi, Little Live Pets Guinea pig, Lego Friends and Aquabeads.

EcoCustard · 23/09/2023 19:55

Dd is 8 just before Christmas and so far has on her list:
Giant Squishmallow
Our Generation school set/Desk set
Roller skates
Switch lite & vet game
A big stack of books
Journal
Pens/drawing stuff
A pet ferret

Dd6 has a giant squishmallow received for her 5th birthday and she still loves it, takes it camping, sleeps with it nightly so will definitely be getting one of those as it’s been one of the best purchases ever!

Trainstrike · 23/09/2023 20:44

We've seen a Cookeez Makery set where they "bake" a plush that's supposed to be good, though expensive for a novelty.

MotherWol · 23/09/2023 21:05

DD is 7, so far I’ve shortlisted:
Lego Friends
Some LOL dolls
A loom band set
The Worst Witch books
A Kinder Bueno selection box

And a few practical things she needs (pyjamas, underwear, a new water bottle). We don’t normally get a ‘big’ present, just a few things we know she’ll like, but I need more inspiration this year!

BlairWaldorfOG · 24/09/2023 00:40

I have an 8 year old and an almost 7 years old, they're like chalk and cheese in their interests and likes, for their main gifts we're getting annual theme park passes but my nearly 7 year olds wants a "proper" bubble machine, baking stuff and Barbies/ Polly Pockets.

8 year old wants all things art and craft, football, books and not much else.

Oysterbabe · 24/09/2023 07:49

I'm looking at a Bitzee as a little extra for my nearly 8 year old, it's like a fancy tamagotchi. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who had played with one and if they rate them.

jakesmommy · 24/09/2023 23:11

My daughter is 7 and turns 8 in November (along with her twin brother), for her Birthday she will be getting a Bitzee, Doll from new Disney Movie Wish and large aphmau plush.
For Christmas her list includes
Spirograph
Monster High Dolls
Barbie Dolls
Aphmau Meemeows
Squishmallows
Sewing Kit
Slime
Arts and craft supplies
Little Live Mama Surprise Guinea Pig

bubblegumpeach · 25/09/2023 12:20

My 7 year old went through the smyths catalogue and basically circled every damn thing!

She has no serious "wants" she just loves stuff!

Wouldn't mind she never plays with anything!!

Bubbleandsqueak22 · 25/09/2023 12:38

@Oysterbabe I have seen some negative reviews about the Bitzee

IsabelaYourBoyfriendsHere · 25/09/2023 12:51

DD1 will be 6 and a half at Christmas so a little younger, but in case it helps for Christmas I've gotten her:

  • Harry Potter stuff - a playset, stickers, pencial toppers, notebook, book, the Real Littles backpack... She discovered Harry Potter over the summer and is completely in love with it all!
  • Curlimals hedgehog
  • Magic Mixies Pixling doll
  • Huge Snackles plush plus a mini surprise ball
  • Bookeez (this looks brilliant, make your own books!)
  • Unicorn hooded blanket
  • Lots of crafty bits and sets, like make your own sock puppet and colour your own water bottle. I've gotten her a Harumika fashion set that I think she'll love.
  • Disney Doorables
notahappybunny7 · 27/09/2023 06:44

How giant is giant?!

bluebellsanddaisies23 · 28/09/2023 13:08

Hi OP, my DD is the same age (she will be 8 at Christmas). She's into slime (Argos have lots of offers on). I've bought her Grabolo as she loves Dobble and it is meant to be very similar. I've also bought her a tie dye kit from Argos as she is really into crafts.

Sunnydays41 · 28/09/2023 14:00

My DD will be 7.5 at Christmas and she has mentioned: roller skates, present pets, Baby Alive Toddler Grows Up doll, Our Generation, Bluey, Barbie ... Though concluded she wants a 'Surprise' Christmas, so on my list are:

Barbie Skipper babysitter playground set
Our Generation Doll with pierced ears
OG accessories set Inc earrings and glasses

ShortColdandGrey · 28/09/2023 14:21

My 7 year old daughter has so far only got Harry Potter stuff on her list. She is also obsessed with the Turtles.
Interactive Hedwig
Ron Weasley Doll
Ginny Weasley Doll
Potion making stuff

Anything by Little Live Pets

PagingMrTomMorrow · 29/09/2023 09:21

We got our girls the Mama Surprise guinea pig for Christmas last year and it’s fantastic. They absolutely love it and still play with it now. We also have the Gotta Go Flamingo which is really fun. We’re big fans of Little Live Pets in this house 😁

This year my oldest will be 8 and she’s getting a new Kindle and a Bookeez.
