Lemax Christmas Village - where to buy?

Thinking about starting a model Christmas Village this year. I know they are tacky, but I always get excited when I see them! Especially the ones that light up. Would buy two or three buildings to get me going and then add something new each year.

But two questions:

  • where the cheapest place to buy them online? Looks like some garden centres sell them online. Would like to buy soon before the prices are hiked for Christmas.
  • the buildings with light up windows, do they need to be plugged in? I was hoping for battery operated, but the descriptions I've read all mention a 1.8m cord.

Thanks!

Sorry pressed post too soon! They are a department store in Clitheroe and Skipton, who have brilliant Christmas shop too online.

I have loads and I always make a special journey to Barton Grange garden centre for them at the beginning of November, they have a huge collection and they are all on display so you can see them close up. You need to buy them early in the season as they go out of stock really quickly! If you’ve never been to Barton grange before you won’t be disappointed it’s huge and so Christmassy I think it’s worth the drive!

Thank you! I'm checking out the Dawsons website. Unfortunately the garden centre mentioned is several hours drive away from me, so I won't be able to visit.

Looking at some You Tube videos, it does look like all the light up ones need to be plugged in to the wall, which is really putting me off now 🙁.

Yes they do mainly need to be plugged in. We have a few that are battery but they tend to be the small ones- the large ones would eat batteries so it’s a good thing!
